This is one of my favourite coasters of all time. The ride itself isn't special. It's not the biggest, the fastest, nor the most innovative.
However, the _theming_ makes it something truly special. It's just pure, concentrated fun.

This was my first real roller coaster. And unfortunately, it’s most likely my last. I almost cried watching this. I went when I I was 7 back in 2000, just after it opened. My sister and I had only seen the posters for it, which made it look like a VR experience more than a roller coaster. I didn’t know what I was getting into until after we got past the recording studio in line, and hit the chain link fence. That’s where I saw the actual cars taking off and I burst into tears. (For reference, I was also scared shitless to ride TEST TRACK, so I’m not big on rides. I later discovered that test track is fuckin fun, and not scary at all, despite the cars whizzing over your head when you walk in) But I was FREAKED OUT when I saw RRC take off. I don’t do roller coasters. My family made me come along anyway. We were already in line for hours. I had tears all over my face, but I sucked it up. I’m mostly afraid of heights than anything else. The darkness helped SO MUCH. The picture of us during the takeoff is still in my bedroom, because my face is absolutely priceless and my parents had to buy it. I look horrified. We went back to Disney a few years later, and I went on this ride as many times as I could. I even managed to sneak a single rider run through right before the park closed, while my parents sat at a picnic table. Then I had brain surgery in 2013 and 2 more in 2017....
After endless research on pretty much every roller coaster death in America, MOST are due to pre-existing heart or brain conditions. (Which is really awesome news for healthy people!!! It’s really statistically unlikely that anything bad will happen...) But I could risk actually dying. I can barely handle an elevator moving too quickly anymore. So I just had a flashback of 7 year old me, screaming my ass off, and then having the best time of my life. 😅 Thanks for the video. 🙏🏻

This will always have a place in my heart. It wasnt my first coaster. But as an 8 year old in 09. It was my first looping coaster. I remember being so scared. When I saw the launch i started freaking out. Begging to leave. But my mom just said ill be fine. Part of me wanted to ride. Part of me didnt. So i didnt leave. In those days i remember them not having a count down and more just randomly launching down track at any time. My face in the picture showed it all. I ended up loving it. Fast foward to 2015. We get to go again. I waited in line this time as a 13 year old and one who loved coasters. Still a bit nervous but not scared. I loved it that time. We went back again on our last day as part of our extended hours pass. I rode it by myself once and then one lass time with my mom. Later that year she was diagnosed with cancer and died in October. Its only fitting that the first looping coaster i ever rode with my mom was also the last looping coaster that i got to ride with her. Will always be a top 10 coaster for me

When I was 5 I rode this, my preschool teacher told me to because she rode it 9 times. I begged my dad to go to number 52 on the map, that was what number it was. We got there and had to wait in this really long line while the speakers said that you shouln't ride with back or heart conditions. We got seated in the limos and then the launcher started, my heart dropped. I was just looking at the map when the ride suddenly started. I didn't know it was an upside down roller coaster, and I really fell for what the teacher said. In the ride, the map blew out of my hand, and it was finally over. I went back to my mom outside and she gave me the chocolate milk she bought me. It tasted terrible and I felt like i would throw up. Later, we went to Star Tours and I really didn't want to ride it because it might be another roller coaster. I didn't ride any other rides at Disney again.

I’d clarify the how the clearance laws don’t allow it to get close enough to touch you and it’s just a trick of the eye, but that was actually really funny and I commend you for it lmao

went on this a few weeks ago. I'm known in my family for backing out of rides/being scared of them. My sister said there weren't any inversions, just a super fast coaster and in all fairness i believed her. after going on it i would do it again super fun for tourists (like myself) would reccomend especially if you don't go to WDW very often. A must see definetely a large wait but well worth

I did Rock n Rollercoaster with the lights on and without sound. I've never done it in the dark actually😂

Coasterfreak 486 does Disney randomly turn the lights on or how have you done it with the lights on

@@jacksongoldenretriever Maybe there was something wrong with the lighting that day? I don't know. I've only been on it once, but I didn't really like it because the lack of atmosphere, theming and the rattle. It was just an empty box with a coaster in it lol

My wife and I had the lights come on in the middle of a Space Mountain ride within the last year and a half and we both basically spent the rest of the ride screaming “oh shit” cuz everything is... very close.
