    If I ever start a lawn care service with my Simplicity, its going to be called Simplicity Jack Lawn Care. With a logo from Simple Jack from Tropic Thunder saying "I la la la la love lawn care"

    Thanks for the suggestion of fluid in the tires. I only have 3 complaints concerning my XT: the rear tires want to slip and tear up the grass if you are not careful (thus the fluid), the parking brake procedure is annoying, and it probably really needs a roll bar since all zero turns tend to be tippy on an incline; otherwise its a great machine.

      Yep, the fluid made a big difference as I was sliding all over the place without it. Its getting to be that time of the year to get it out and start mowing. No real complaints now after two summers. Thanks for watching!

    I am looking at buying one of these used that has literally never seen a blade of grass, might I ask if you still have, use and like yours? Also would 4k be a decent price for one?

      I still have mine. Just mowed today for the first time this year. I love it. Fired right up after sitting all winter. My yard used to be a field, so it takes a beating but still does a fine job. The price I can’t tell you. I see they have gone up a good bit from when I bought mine new. Only thing I recommend is putting fluid in the tires. Thanks for watching!

    Simplicity is an old name, high quality hopefully last for 20 years if not longer.

    Nice review, thanks. I see the free floating deck has a roller on the back of the deck now. How is the cut with that deck, and does it stripe good with that roller?

    • @jdman7170
      @jdman7170  Před rokem +1

      It does good. My yard used to be a field so it took 4or 5 cuttings until you could see the striping. I just make sure I keep mowing in the same direction when I mow. Still works like a champ. Thanks for watching!

      Good deal. I’m looking at switching out from my John Deere zero turn and looking at the simplicity. Thanks again.

    How do you clean the deck!.? It seems like I need to take the black metal covers off to get the grass off of the deck.

    I have the same mower but I have a Kawasaki engine. Why did simplicity use a Kawasaki engine? Just wondering l

    What did you mean by "fluid" in the tires?

    • @jdman7170
      @jdman7170  Před rokem +1

      We used to put liquid calcium in the tires to add weight. That way it wouldn’t freeze in the winter but the drawback is it’s very corrosive. Now they have a black fluid to put in tires that doesn’t freeze but isn’t corrosive. It just adds weight to provide better traction. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

    same as the ferris 500s only difference is the roller on the back of the deck were ferris is a rubber strip could put the roller on a ferris from simplicity no problem paint and logo that's it everything is the same and the snapper and snapper pro are the rigged version minus suspension with a suspension seat of course now no more simplicity or snapper or snapper pro as lack of sales Europe is were they're going but ferris sales have skyrocketed through the roof no more garden tractors as it currently stands you can see the cover letter on the Briggs and Stratton website parts are readily available for snapper and simplicity but no more new machines Europe wins with sales and popularity and no more snapper hi vacs another great mower the two oldest names in the country are now gone but yet Stihl contracted ferris to make there zero turns for them whom but yet the drop the other two
