    I am a small engine mechanic and get to use all sorts of zero turns. Simplicitys are my favorite. They are a tremendous value. They always run like a top and are very comfortable.

    My friend Roger bought this mower. I'm responsible for keeping his lawn trimmed, so I'm the one that uses the Courier Ninety Nine percent of the time. I love this Mower! Keep your blades sharp, and keep your maintenance schedule, and this mower will do right by Ya!

    Great thorough rundown. Amazing how many features they integrated that are normally found on higher end commercial units.

      They are some snappy mowers. Great speed and performance for at a decent price.

      Nice residential mower but I'd skip the suspension if typical smooth lawn and get the Snapper model. Lot of the mid range branded residential are much improved last few yets

    I bought the 2021 23hp briggs motor with 48" deck. I am really liking it so far, but I don't have alot of experience to compare too. I did have a bolt come loose that mounts the deck to the body, simple replacement nut fixed the issue, but I didn't think that should happen on a new mower. I will say I like how easy it is to operate, pretty comfortable and makes mowing my yard much easier/quicker.

    Got my 52" late last summer to replace my 15 year old Champion and have done everything save change the blades so far (waiting for some warmer & DRYER weather). Pros: MUCH faster than my old Champion. Almost wish for a seat belt. Cuts extremely well and is better on slopes than my old 48". Love the full independent suspension - it's almost like riding an ATV. The controls are vastly simplified from my old one. I'm in Virginia and the ventilated seat is great, but not so much when it's cold out. The flat deck and removable floor panel makes cleaning it a breeze. Was able to hook up my lawn vac in the fall fairly easily, but . . . Cons: I had to modify the hitch plate with an angle grinder so I could turn decent corners with my lawn vac attached. Briggs & Stratton must have hired some GM engineers - the oil drain tube is OK, but needs another half to one inch length to really work well. The biggest problem is changing the oil filter. It's a spin on and that's OK, but it's sideways and at the bottom of the engine - that means once it's loose, oil goes everywhere. Since it will come out various holes in the engine mounting plate, you need a large drip pan underneath and a lot of rags or paper towels.
    Overall, it's certainly worth 4.75 out of 5 stars and the only big problem is that oil filter!

    That wash feature will accelerate you deck rust out. Putting water inside, waters the clumped in grass and it stays wet a long time. Cutting dry grass is ideal for long deck life but can't always be done.

    • @MCRideout
      @MCRideout Před 5 lety +2

      Wash it out and then run it on dry pavement to blow dry the bottom of the deck.

      Golf courses often keep equipment well over 20 years 10-15k hours. We hose decks daily. Started turf care in 03. Never seen a deck rust because it was washed every use. Store it over winter being scraped clean and brush or spray on a layer of Fluid Film. Its made of lanolin.

      Wish they would get rid of the rear roller on the Simplicity mowers. Especially the zero turns! Can't get even small landscapers to look at them because they don't want a mower with a 48" deck that will only leave a 26" stripe or a 52 inch deck and only leave about a 30" stripe.

    I have the same mower , bought in may of 2019 . It comes with the striper but for some reason it doesn't stripe my lawn and I have a nice TTTF lawn . I mow at 3.5 - 4". Was wondering if it only stripes if you mow at a low cut . The striper seems to sit pretty high at the height that I have it at .

    If the deck is hanging from the frame and the frame is moving up and down with the suspension, how does it maintain the cut height? Wouldn't the cut height change as the suspension compresses?

    • @MCRideout
      @MCRideout Před 5 lety

      The suspension doesn't move enough to have any real effect on the cutting height. It isn't noticeable at all.

    What is the need for a cup holder as it takes both hands to drive?

    • @EshlemaniaTV
      @EshlemaniaTV  Před 5 lety +4

      If you're mowing a large yard on a hot day you can keep a water bottle in the cup holder and stop to take a drink every once in a while without having to go the whole way back to the house/shop.
      It's really more of a gimmick than anything. You'll hear people talk about being able to keep a beer in the cup holder while their mowing and stuff like that, but anything other than water or maybe Gatorade would just be ruined by the time you stopped to drink it because of the mower vibrating and shaking so much.

  • @millesscalzer

    Yes,🌼 allabout.wiki/Snapper the bag fills up pretty quickly when there are lots of leaves and I guess that is expected. It is quick to take the leaf catching bag off and put it back on. There is one bar with rubber ends that fits into a slot (bottom), one bar with angled ends that hangs on rubber hooks (top), and two stretchy loops that each hang on a rubber hook (one each side). You can hold the leaf catching bag with one hand full and not drop any leaves. It is NOT easy to empty it into a lawn bag without spilling. My trick: I put two lawn bags side-by-side in a large garbage bin and emptied the leaf catching bag into them. What spills falls into the garbage bin. 90% of the leaves end up in the bags this way with 0% back on the lawn.

    I bought this way overpriced mower last year, the suspension and rear carrier is a way for the co. to charge more $$$$$. The suspension is a joke unless you weigh over 300 pounds it does not work as they claim, the back cargo carrier is a joke for most. So sorry that I did not purchase a ARIENS IKON XL for less $$$ at Lowes much better built.
