In my state we just buy Mag Repair Kits, they had to grandfather such mags already owned to avoid Ex Post Facto challenges, etc., and build Standard Capacity mags to get around their unconstitutional BS.

Former Coloradan here, and I ignored that dumbass law when I still lived in Teller County Colorado I bought magazine kits, had em mailed to me from family, and even went out of state to buy them. The law stipulated that it was illegal to buy them in Colorado. Not that it was illegal to possess them. Which is partly why its unenforceable. I even was a very small part (donation and signature as well as campaigning) to get those two Senators Giron and Morse recalled from office over this shit.

Just bought my M&P 15 sport 2 because a "friend" sold me some 30 round mags for 5.56 nato back during freedom week and he told me back then to get them. Now i got a gun that runs them. It's fun with my aimpoint pro. I almost never question the shot just like my 22lr or 30-06. 9mm i need more practice in mag dumping.
