BTF is an awesome idea. I've been wishing for something like this for many years. I've never been an ASUS fan, but this is a game changer.
They should've made the AIO tubes go out the back too - that'd be cool.
SAMA has a quasi-hideaway design where tubes are connected to the rad in a position where it is directly hanging above the cpu, rather than coming out from one end of the rad, with a portrait oriented screen attached to the waterblock hood. Which manage to cover the majority of tubes speaking of visual reference. However its more of an early stage prototype and godspeed it could be published at around Feb in China according to one of the major contributor of this design.
Good solution and I think this standard should have been implemented 20 years ago when first graphic cards with power wires appeared.
5:50 The water block is a smiley face! Almost like a Cat face, nose and all- just need some ears on top! They need to move the ports over to the left just a little bit so it's symmetrical though!
BTF is cool but I see it only maybe being a standard in 10+ years. My next build will be normal and probably the one after that.
That GPU edge power connector idea is Dope!
I love that White ROG Build! Definitely inspired me to add more aesthetics to my white PC at home.
Cabling, especially power cables, can look exceptionally good and adds a _"Motorhead"_ aesthetic to your PC build, especially when using custom cables from CableMod. I'm still seeing cables from RGB headers, fans, USB, etc which are actually the 'ugly cables' and defeating "no power cables."
Nope.
I 3d print custom boots for my ugly KK connectors, and sleeve the cables. RGB cables have the same pitch as fan connectors
@@geort45 .. Absolutely RGB Cables are another good looking aesthetic. I've only sleeved things like pump wires and some of the front headers, etc but I quite often spray paint the otherwise "ketchup and mustard" exposed wires.
@@DJaquithFL spray paint wtf man haha... sleeve or nothing... what cables do you paint that couldn't be sleeved?
@@geort45 .. Look carefully at the individual wires that are coming off of your case's front audio header, case controls, etc these are examples of multi-colored wires at their ends with otherwise sleeved cables. I can almost guarantee that you forgot about those wires. Since those wires are often non-standard, it's very difficult if not impossible to hide the multi-colored wires without spray painting or taping.
Also a lot of PSU 24-pin, 8-pin, etc wires are also bundled sleeved but their ends are individual multi-colored wires. The PSU individual sleeved wires are very easy to get aftermarket individual sleeved wires. However, it's the OEM and special use wires that are not so easy to replace.
I just remembered my 486 pc with all those IDE cables everywhere that we couldn't hide and was getting in the way all the time...
So Asus BTF and MSI Project Zero are bringing what Singularity Computers has been doing to the masses.
What a beautiful white build, congratulations!
They know the best builder to showcase their products at CES. Very Cool!
What fans did you use in the white build? I’ve been looking for a set of Lian Li style Daisychain 120mm fans from Asus, like the 3 set you get with the Ryujin III AIO.
Did you see Corsair’s RAM, ohh man that was looking so delightfull.
I actually like wires as long as they're nice, color matched and well organized. Wireless is neat too though. I'd rather have a standard form factor ATX board though.
That white case build is SICK. Like sickest I've ever seen. Do you guys sell these?
Need this in sff form factor for a sub 15 liter case
I'd be interested if that GPU connector became industry standard.
Like even for motherboards with regular sided connectors please.
So no more cable melting?
just wait for that connector to start melting ..😄 .. i have the 4090 strix and have had no issues with my corsair power cable ..seems to be alot more issues with tuff and gigabyte gpus.
Will you visit the Alphacool stand? I really want to see their new ES Quick Release Fasteners
Yes! We have a video with them
Is that a recalled 180-degree adapter by CableMod I see at 6:31?
Yep and we still use them in all our builds
thanks
Back-to-The-Future BTF !!!!!!!!!!
dang i like it
so clean
but how the gpu is secured only by screws ?????
How do you get frosted acrylic reservoir ? is it paint? sand blast? sanded? I've seen a few of your builds with it like this asus one at ces & it looks really nice.
Yes frosted spray paint. Same type that can be used on glass
@@GGFEvents Thanks.
What will be the difference between Z790 DARK HEROE and this mb? Or which will be the best?
Would love to see the PC enthusiasts industry move to BTF.
They could’ve just moved the power port to the back of the card since it sticks out past the board 4 inches
hope asus will launch a BTF ver. for z790 apex
So once you plug jn the card it can't be taken out? Cool move forward but let's see how much premium it will cost us.
It still uses the traditional pcie removal process
Love the coverage of CES you do every year. I'm excited for you to cover EK this year, they have some really cool products.
friggin WOW!
That is very cool.
So PC industry has discovered Apple Mac Pro 2019 exists 😅
It was about time. Now we just need to wait another 5 years for everyone to get on board.
HELLO GGF from BULGARIA !!!!!!!!!
the future is here!
Nice nice. 🎉
Damn, the Asus cpu waterblock looks amazing!!!
Asus really is pushing that bulky case looks like it weights 20+ kg 💀
That case is monstrous. U better plan out a good assembly of parts otherwise plenty of empty space left.
I don't like it, with how heavy cards are that's just a fire hazard waiting to happen due to sag. Not only that you have so much power running through the board and are limited to 600 watts which gives a lot of problems with overclockers
Back connector motherboards are the future, but that ASUS gpu solution is not going to fly.
MEH....
The back side of that case is completely stuffed with cables. You'd almost have to have a new line of power supplies with super short cables for this to be manageable for your average builder.
Its cool but useless. That GPU cant be used with a regular motherboard later on. The motherboard will require a case with clearance at the back, there's a lot of issues that stem from this not being a standard. If all motherboards were like this it would be good, but they aren't and so you forgo a lot of compatibility and will deal with headaches.
Uh-zeus not Ae-sus is a wild pronunciation
CableMod is finished.
A zeus
Rog are top❤
Rog taxes aren't.
Now the motherboards are going to melt
It’s all good until Mobo gets hot and start melting from the new plug. I will stick with my Encore and plug in play cable gpu. Never had issues and never used adapters. Always 3.0 ATX and it runs flawlessly
That Hyperion case... Jesus that is one ugly case... But interesting to see the BTF system.
Republic of Anus.
Fitting. They screwed me over on a motherboard RMA once
@@mordecaiepsilon sure, no one else does it 😂
Agree, gigabyte is definitely this one 👌
Their motherboard BIOS is awfull and their GPU coil whine….man my 6900xt scream like biatch.
