They say about the band that literally only writes concept albums.
Not their most explosive track, and nowhere near their best track, but it still sounds like Carach Angren.
That's why personally like them, It's like listening to a horror movie...With emotional, and blood chilling symphony...
The sole reason that this band exists is their love of storytelling, why the fuck would you listen to this in the first place if you don't like that?
The new album is going to be fucking insane! They sound different on every album but they still sound like Carach Angren and that's how it should be. Amazing!
This band is crazy! But on the good note. There are just something i like about this. Never boring and always telling good horror stories.

This band has grown and improved so much over the last years, they are the most original, creative and one of the best best black metal bands. They are my absolute favourite of the Genre. Thanks for your great music guys.

I can see how the black metal purists may not like this, but this direction seems to be more symphonic metal with black metal influence. I for one am a fan of this.

Symphonic black metal can be good, but it's never been as good as In the Nightside Eclipse. It's all been downhill from there.

Biostorm7 I think that's one of the best things about Carach Angren's material man. You know when you have that element of a story it makes you want to find out more and more! Do you have a favourite track yet?
Well actually I think on this one the story is a bit disjointed... I can't really see the relationship between the girl in the beginning and Blood Queen/Song for the dead. What are they ? She summoned Charlie (is it the spirit of Charles Francis Coghlan ?), but did she also summon the others ? Is it like she summoned Charlie and all the very well known spirits (CFC, Bloody Mary...) came in the house ?
I had no difficulty in following the other stories, but this one seems more complex to me.

Lammendam best album though, and "Carriage Wheel Murder" one of their most elaborated composition so far. I'm not saying what they are doing today is crap but I've been having hard times getting into their stuff after Death Came Through a Phantomship. A lot of songs just don't feel fluid.
@ Pleb: Exactly this! "Lammendam" is their best, closely followed by "Death Came Through a Phantom Ship". To be honest I also loved "Where the Corpses Sink Forever", but it's a little weaker than the previous two. "This is no Fairytale" however was such a disappointment - and so is "Dance and Laugh Amongst the Rotten". I mean it's still good music, but it's just so unfocused, has weird song structures and, as you already said, it doesn't feel fluid. The lyrics also became a lot worse.
And btw yes: "The Carriage Wheel Murder" is still their best song.

To all the people complaining and whining about how Carach Angren is "changing". Well, what the fuck are you expecting? they are evolving into a great personal style if you guys want "classic blast beats screaming satan black metal" then go away and listen to the other 50000 bands that play that type. This video, lyrics and music are amazing and Carach has formed a strong personality.
