Case Study: Apple Tree Pruning

In this video we will discuss how we transitioned this apple tree from being mowed down each year to being opened up to allow for sun light to penetrate the canopy to the lower spurs where the fruit will occur in the summer. We will discuss how a second summer pruning can improve color and sugar content in the fruit.
