As a Castlevania fan seeing Castlevania characters in other games is bittersweet. Please just give us a new Castlevania.

I didn’t think I was a fan of building and crafting but this game makes it feel like it’s not a chore and more exciting than most
This game is even better with the camera mod that lowers the angle to an over the shoulder perspective. It's a totally different experience.
That we don't have on consoles...

Game is great I bought the complete edition so I was able to play it 5 days early on console.I love almost everything about this game. It was surprising he didn't mentioned in his review that when you use vampiric powers on moving enemy targets it can be a problem which is sad because they're fun to use. You have to manually aim this can be fixed by an auto aim feature and double clicking to select your targets.
Playing this on ps5 it's incredible!

As someone who is into Vampires, played a little bit of Castlevainia back on the DS, and who just finished watching all the Castlevainia anime episodes to date; this is a must buy for me!

It sounds like there’s a lot put into multiplayer and pvp which is extremely unappealing to me. I’ll wait for a sale. I was about to buy it and was like better check reviews. Thanks for stopping me

Aye, agreed. Some sentences feel like a sales pamphlet more than an honest opinion. Especially the one about increasing immersion with Dual Sense controller... I know that some paid promotions require people to actually make sure some key sentences make it to the video. Ah well, the vid does have info about paid promotion, so no surprise there, NSP's gotto eat too :P

I dont want a new castlevania game, they haven't gotten a single one of their games right. Symphony of the night was only popular due to aesthetics, the gameplay and level design was severely lacking. Definitely needed the creative directors more invested, more insprired to make greatness. Its like they got stuck on making lame games they thought fit the era but didn't.
Regarding this game, the trailer was beautiful. But its illogical how its not on the ps4, xbox one/series, and the switch even. Theres not a lot of graphical demand here.
Yeah, top down view is a cool option when the screens locked and transfers frames. But if thats the ONLY option? No way man. Thats not great video game design. Its almost offensive.
Im reading that everyone who bought this game was really let down, as if the game is severely lacking in gameplay, which means theres absolutely no way 2 million people play it.
I like the concept of this game, Victorian era build your own vampire castle and clan with devil may cry 5 gameplay + some blood drinking stuff, magic, vampire stuff. Maybe even get some bat wings, or even different batwings.
The idea is awesome, but it seems like the execution is.... bad.
I honestly think Diablo 3 is ok, but its one of the most boring, repetitive games ive ever played and the scrolling isometric camera isnt it. Sure would be a decent option. But that view tends to ruin how a game feels for most players. Its very 1990s action rpg pc game.
It works for some games, but that era is basically over. Honestly probably what should of became cell phone games. Those top down command and conquer games like starcraft.
You are a freaking super crazy awesome vampire! Now go cut trees and mine ore to build a house... no thanks. I thought it was a more action oriented diablo like and the build was less important. not a arc survival. not into this. It was very frustrating to know this. i was looking foward to this game :(
Give it a try, with friends, you can have a base builder and a pvp guy, combat is pretty deep, its more oriented combat, even solo, you can loot by rqiding villages and monster and have a simple effective base that dont take a lot of time to mamage, the pacing is really good.

You can tell they sponsored you. The game is fun, but the castle building is not very fun. The controller mechanics are wonky as hell
I really wanted to like this game but in reality it's very boring. If this was just a straight up action rpg with a better story (or any story) then it would probably be a blast. However you just spend hours and hours gathering materials and upgrading your castle with just a little bit of combat thrown in. Please don't waste your money on this game like I did.

Yea. It's a *mix.* it's not just an action RPG. It's a survival raid pvpve like ark. If you went in just expecting. An ARPG then play Grim dawn, poe or diablo. This game was never marketed as a pure arpg
Ok this is your opinion, just because you don’t like survival RPGs with building mechanics, doesn’t mean we should listen to you. I’m having a blast becoming a powerful vampire and building armies and taking over lands.
It’s better with friends but mate, saying it’s just a waste of time is absurd. So much to do here.

You could play the game solo and crank up the farming rates on things you find tedious. There are also plenty of servers that upgrade your efficiency in these areas.

it you like pushing button a over and over and over and over then this is the game for you. take away the castlevania theme and this is just a pointless diablo clone where you just run around and push button a 40 million times. zero depth to this game. 5 mins in pushing button a pointlessly 40 hours in still pushing button a pointlessly.
