Lucky for Scott, the audience is laughing too loud to catch it. He spontaneously - being the sensitive guy he is - shares with everyone in listening range (and forever due to CZcams), a dream (nightmare?) about someone yelling point blank to him in front of a crowd during a SOI show somewhere in Canada "get married". (Note: if he was in the USA SOI, we would assume they were already married so no need for flagrant shipping) Anyway... Possibly this dream is more uncomfortable than a mascot popping out of nowhere or playing the Definitely Not Dating Game… Unfortunately for Scott, all these dreams came true. At this point, Scott moves his hand quickly through his thick, sensuous, brown hair, forever fidgeting, deflecting, forgetting Tessa in the background, skating around searching somewhere for help, nervously deflecting even more and desperately trying to make eye contact with someone who is oblivious to the situation. Thank goodness for a cute kid sitting conveniently on the first row (intuitively he knows the kid doesn't give rat's ass - pardon my French, couldn't think of better phrase - if he gets married to Tessa or not). Salvation from this whole precarious situation comes through Elvis quickly skating out on the ice. Scott has a slight moment of panic since hearing about an Elvis Chapel in Las Vegas from Chiddy during SOI tour in Japan. A feeling of relief envelopes Scott since Elvis doesn't volunteer to marry them - at least not at this moment, but who knows what that sneaky Elvis Stojko will do during intermission... Because he can never let Tessa down, Scott refuses to allow this ordeal to derail the rest of the program and vows to himself to show the audience plenty of neck snuggling, hand kissing, mischievous smiling, smoldering looks, long caresses, that fabulous bum and of course, exquisite skating with the brilliant, gorgeous, green eyed Tessa. Oh, by the way, also happens to be a magician - who knew? Bonus - Scott’s sumptuous hair and expressive eyebrows take on a life of their own during the rest of the show. Moral of story, they seem happy in their platonic Canadian business relationship with PDA on and off the ice… can we just be happy for them? They are endearing just the way they are and this is the most magical of happy endings. Footnote: Scott has ruined romance for me because now I want a guy just like him... Update: Scott slips and falls tonight near the end of Moulon Rouge. Most likely still shaky from the previous night’s shipping from the audience in Hamilton. Ever the consummate professional, he quickly rises to his feet and summons, by beating on his chest, Tessa over into his arms for the last lift. All of this while sucking up a bruised hip and quite possibly a pulled muscle - no apparent bum issues, still looks mighty fine. After bravely taking a well deserved bow with Tessa lovingly at his side - because business partners support each other- Scott, holding his back, skates over to check the spot where he fell to alert the Zamboni guy to smooth over the patch of ice so other skaters don’t meet the same fate. What a man! 😉
i've ever seen a short footage on instagram recently when they're doin a pratice session with other ice skaters. If I was Scott I would secure this person for me from the very beginning and would make sure to never let her go... Wait a minute...maybe he did? But then all his "public gfs???"... Does he even deserve her at this point? Or is there sth I am not suppose to know??? There is something so unique about her, that I cannot describe with words. She is esoteric creature in human body. These two are fabulous actors! They have been coached since they were youngsters. They keep denying they are a "couple" but have been displaying romantic behavior and constant togetherness for ages. If they indeed were going to be a couple it would have happened and been made public by now. It certainly is possible S&T had a romantic/intimate relationship in the past but did not evolve into a marital one. Now that Scott just recently announced his engagement and not to Tessa! what does that tell you? I'm not aware of any skate pairs with the longevity of these two. Theirs is a fairy tale due to their tremendous talent and charisma. They certainly have been highly marketed--- reality show, 2 books, tons of radio and TV appearances and on and on. I wonder had they gotten married at some point before now would the public interest be as prolonged with them as an official couple as the intrigue is absent. Also, Scott getting engaged out of the blue and everyone being surprised??? Something weird is going on!
Here is what's my take on the whole thing. Fact is, the public wouldn't be as interested as they were if they actually were together. They kept it professional so they don't lose that "are they doing it or not" chemistry, they put skating first and that is all that mattered. Smart decisions if you ask me. In a way you could say they were waiting for each other, they never spoke about it but they both knew it. Around the end of 2017 and all through Olympics, you can totally tell they are barely prolonging the wait and I kinda have the feeling they were actually a thing, maybe in this video too. But things didn't work out. Logically, they wouldn't work as a couple. Where Tessa is ambitious, always craving more and very business oriented, Scott is laid-back and relax type of a person. Where she is rational, he is emotional. Where she is private, he wears his heart on his sleeve. Scott needs someone to devote their full attention and time just on him to feed his sky-high ego and honestly I don't see Tessa playing that game. She is too firey for him, too mature, too much for him to handle, honestly I am surprised he kept up with her all these years with the skating. I am almost 100% sure it was her ambition that got them so far and Scott just followed her because he would have followed her anywhere. So eventually they both realized they wouldn't work and called it quits. Scott was... or even is... completely in love with her and seeing as how his actions are guided by emotions rather than reason, he got into this weird relationship with a married woman with a purpose to sabotage himself and Tessa and everything they had. To prove it all true, he got engaged too quickly and logically didn't even call Tessa to tell her (after spending 22 years side by side you would think you tell a person news like those... unless something was up.) So, of course he got exactly what he wanted. He hurt Tess beyond redemption. She is just too classy and graceful to ever show it in public and she will always act as if he still means the world to her but the fact that they no longer even communicate says it all. Tessa deserves the world and he can't give her that, so she is gonna take it herself. Their story is a soul crashing one, could be turned into a tragic movie as in "love isn't enough" kinda thing. But anyway, they are and always will be skating royalty, they took the sport and turned it into art. The day they retired, I gave up watching ice dancing because they are simply irreplaceable.

Джо Харвелл thank you. I believe it wasn’t all an act yeah, couldn’t have been. I have seen them act and honestly they aren’t that good of actors. In the latest interviews, after Scott’s Engagement you can see the tension and pain and awkwardness in both of them. Tessa expresses herself in a very specific way that tells me she sees the engagement as an attempt to hurt her and not a real thing. It’s all too sad to be honest.

I would hope at least cuz it means something to you” and have Scott a look as if she was talking to him, as if to tell him “it should mean something to you” and she also said she never saw this coming... she was hurt but she wouldn’t let it show and kudos for her for going through another tour with him after all that and still create their chemistry although if you ask me it was a bit off... that said I may have been a bit biased😅

I love these 2 as much as anyone, BUT, as they both say, are acting out roles on ice.They are happy that we have bought into their role playing. Their LOVE is more of a brother/sister love than a romantic/sexual, relationship. It will "kill us all" but i can see these 2 finding other partners in their "after Ice Dance Competitive careers".They claim to have very different career outlooks. They will always LOVE one another but not like we hope for.

Giu-C I agree. They each did an episode on a radio show last week. Each interview almost an hour with questions about their skating careers. No relationship questions. Both of them, out of the blue, brought up the no we’re not dating but let me tell you how wonderful the other is dialog. Left me scratching my head both episodes. They continually poke at the ant pile and on this occasion Scott got bit. 😬
I haven't heard the episode. That is odd. I do think that within the last 2-3 weeks there's been a PR shift and I don't really know what's going on but I think there's a roller coaster aspect to it. I am thinking they weren't expecting this fandom to be so attentive to their every move (frankly it can be A LOT, I imagine). Maybe one or both of them just thought they could go about their business doing what they usually do around town. Then someone high up picked up on it and now, the plan has to be cleaned up again. I actually kind of feel bad for them but they are also profiting from this "drama". In the end, they are the best ice dancers up to this point in my life, anyway. And, they are hitting up against the reality and the strength of social media. I do hope they have a long life of beautiful and dramatic skating performances regardless of whether or not they ever decide to pursue an off ice romance.
Why do I care so much for 2 people I don't even know to get together? This is totally ridiculous, but if they're not, then one of them better be gay, no other excuse. Come on.
I wish the audience would stop their whooping because it drowns out what Tesse and Scott are saying. Wish we would go back to all of this audience listening quietly until T.V. & S.M. are finished talking. Etiquette is polite clapping of the hands when they had finished talking. Notice particularly when a performer is skating to a gentle piece of music the whooping interrupts the flow of the skater's interpretation to the music or the audience conception of revelation.

Theirs is a fairy tale due to their tremendous talent and charisma. They certainly have been highly marketed--- reality show, 2 books, tons of radio and TV appearances and on and on. I wonder had they gotten married at some point before now would the public interest be as prolonged with them as an official couple as the intrigue is absent. Also, Scott getting engaged out of the blue and everyone being surprised??? Something weird is going on!
Here is what's my take on the whole thing. Fact is, the public wouldn't be as interested as they were if they actually were together. They kept it professional so they don't lose that "are they doing it or not" chemistry, they put skating first and that is all that mattered. Smart decisions if you ask me. In a way you could say they were waiting for each other, they never spoke about it but they both knew it. Around the end of 2017 and all through Olympics, you can totally tell they are barely prolonging the wait and I kinda have the feeling they were actually a thing, maybe in this video too.
But things didn't work out. Logically, they wouldn't work as a couple. Where Tessa is ambitious, always craving more and very business oriented, Scott is laid-back and relax type of a person. Where she is rational, he is emotional. Where she is private, he wears his heart on his sleeve. Scott needs someone to devote their full attention and time just on him to feed his sky-high ego and honestly I don't see Tessa playing that game. She is too firey for him, too mature, too much for him to handle, honestly I am surprised he kept up with her all these years with the skating. I am almost 100% sure it was her ambition that got them so far and Scott just followed her because he would have followed her anywhere.
So eventually they both realized they wouldn't work and called it quits. Scott was... or even is... completely in love with her and seeing as how his actions are guided by emotions rather than reason, he got into this weird relationship with a married woman with a purpose to sabotage himself and Tessa and everything they had. To prove it all true, he got engaged too quickly and logically didn't even call Tessa to tell her (after spending 22 years side by side you would think you tell a person news like those... unless something was up.) So, of course he got exactly what he wanted. He hurt Tess beyond redemption. She is just too classy and graceful to ever show it in public and she will always act as if he still means the world to her but the fact that they no longer even communicate says it all. Tessa deserves the world and he can't give her that, so she is gonna take it herself.
Their story is a soul crashing one, could be turned into a tragic movie as in "love isn't enough" kinda thing. But anyway, they are and always will be skating royalty, they took the sport and turned it into art. The day they retired, I gave up watching ice dancing because they are simply irreplaceable.
@@TianaT4 It's so weird to see Scott or Tessa with someone else, not with each other, so...wrong. I understand that they're real people with their own life, it's not a fic or something, but... I do love your theory and believe that's what happened. It's just impossible to play the role for 20 years every day. There is no act. If true love exists, they are its embodiment. It doesn't matter who they are with.

Джо Харвелл thank you. I believe it wasn’t all an act yeah, couldn’t have been. I have seen them act and honestly they aren’t that good of actors. In the latest interviews, after Scott’s Engagement you can see the tension and pain and awkwardness in both of them. Tessa expresses herself in a very specific way that tells me she sees the engagement as an attempt to hurt her and not a real thing. It’s all too sad to be honest.
@@TianaT4 When I watched that video with engagement I didn't even understand at first who was his fiancee and where was she sitting. He was like: "I came here with my fiancee" and i was like: "Where is she?????" It more looked like Tessa was his fiancee:D He was so gentle with her. Why did they decide to stop everything so rapidly? Yeah, you're retired, okay, fine, but stopping skating with each other at all? Why? SO WEIRD. I want to cry again:D
Джо Харвелл if they were always just friends they would have continued to be be close and friends even after skating. But because there was always something more there and they know it, they had to call it quits altogether in order to be able to move on.
And about the engagement... I totally agree. Scott was so awkward and weird. And when they asked Tessa how she pictures Scott walking the isle she was like “well he is emotional so there would be tears... I would hope at least cuz it means something to you” and have Scott a look as if she was talking to him, as if to tell him “it should mean something to you” and she also said she never saw this coming... she was hurt but she wouldn’t let it show and kudos for her for going through another tour with him after all that and still create their chemistry although if you ask me it was a bit off... that said I may have been a bit biased😅
What did the audience member yell out before Scott answered her and Tessa got down on one knee? Actually, I can't hear much of dialogue, period.. :(

I love these 2 as much as anyone, BUT, as they both say, are acting out roles on ice.They are happy that we have bought into their role playing. Their LOVE is more of a brother/sister love than a romantic/sexual, relationship. It will "kill us all" but i can see these 2 finding other partners in their "after Ice Dance Competitive careers".They claim to have very different career outlooks. They will always LOVE one another but not like we hope for.

Katelyn ko The show in Emilton was recorded for the TV. At the end of all the performances there was this little chat that was used to give time to change to some athletes,who skated some pieces of their performances that did not come perfect on the first shot. (Elvis and the "male group"...)

Well I know this is all platonic and stuff (if they are really telling us the truth) but I feel like if I were Tessa, I would really go down on my knee there. I mean... If he doesn't ask the question, why not do something to make things clear? It's funny that, if you look at her lips, she was really saying the words...
Giu-C I agree. They each did an episode on a radio show last week. Each interview almost an hour with questions about their skating careers. No relationship questions. Both of them, out of the blue, brought up the no we’re not dating but let me tell you how wonderful the other is dialog. Left me scratching my head both episodes. They continually poke at the ant pile and on this occasion Scott got bit. 😬
I haven't heard the episode. That is odd. I do think that within the last 2-3 weeks there's been a PR shift and I don't really know what's going on but I think there's a roller coaster aspect to it. I am thinking they weren't expecting this fandom to be so attentive to their every move (frankly it can be A LOT, I imagine). Maybe one or both of them just thought they could go about their business doing what they usually do around town. Then someone high up picked up on it and now, the plan has to be cleaned up again. I actually kind of feel bad for them but they are also profiting from this "drama". In the end, they are the best ice dancers up to this point in my life, anyway. And, they are hitting up against the reality and the strength of social media. I do hope they have a long life of beautiful and dramatic skating performances regardless of whether or not they ever decide to pursue an off ice romance.
Why do I care so much for 2 people I don't even know to get together? This is totally ridiculous, but if they're not, then one of them better be gay, no other excuse. Come on.
I wish the audience would stop their whooping because it drowns out what Tesse and Scott are saying. Wish we would go back to all of this audience listening quietly until T.V. & S.M. are finished talking. Etiquette is polite clapping of the hands when they had finished talking. Notice particularly when a performer is skating to a gentle piece of music the whooping interrupts the flow of the skater's interpretation to the music or the audience conception of revelation.
