I really enjoy hearing him sing this song! Love the CD, also. It makes me happy everytime. And then it doesn't matter to me that he didn't sing this song the way Eric Clapton sings it. Well done, Paul!
See Jesse "Lone Cat" Jesse Fuller - the Original!!!!!! I hope his family is getting royalties on this! He lived it, he wrote it, he performed it - a One-man Band :pT
Despite all the negative comments about this version, I love the arrangement. With three-part harmonies, great slide guitar and piano solos, and first class, seasoned session musicians. I've listened many other versions and they always fall short. Besides is a flawless LIVE version! Compare to other Live versions, they blow.
In my book Mccartney is a better songwriter, singer and probably over-all musician, but this old bluessong is right up Clapton's alley, and he performed it with both dignity and the bluesy feel that one might expect from a bluesman. This made Claptons cover superior in my opinion.
@lividmoni like the Jesse Fuller version cause is the original, but for me Clapto really improved this song, he gave us a really happy song and with a great timming......you cant fight that, like him or not Clapton version in some points is even better that Jesse Fuller original song.
ADORO essa música, com ele ficou perfeita ! Gosto muito dessa formação da banda...mas a atual está mais viva, empolgante !
Paul did this song at the Concert in San Francisco, last night. First time I ever heard the song... It was GREAT!!! Loved it!!!

Conhecia essa canção sendo interpretada por Eric Clapton e Peter Paul and Mary, por sinal à primeira versão. Muito legal

Eric Clapton still lead in this song.....long live to slow hand.
Can't wait to hear how Eva Cassidy made this song her own...

The Benko Dixie Band (from Hungary) makes a very good version of this song, my fav, in fact. (It's on CZcams)
