Tempest cleaning after 8 days! A LOT OF WASTE!!

  • I was really happy with how much waste the 2 units have produced in 8 days.
    This is from a skimmer line so its the surface waste that's getting through, the pond is really clear. I think we left it too long to clean and will now try a clean every other day for the next video.

    I think they look like a great filter for fines to add onto a system and looking at one myself .. But !! I think there a is much better way of cleaning them .. one of the simply ways I've just thought of is to shut off both valves either side of the tempest .. then open the drain and drop the level inside by 4"- 6" or so then shut the drain again essentially lowering the level inside .. then instead of the gulping air process and not sure of how the valve works at the bottom or if this could be done but then attaching a air line to it and boil the filter basically like a eazy-pod but u have to open the top valve slightly to let the air escape but by dropping the level it shouldnt let the water return ..... Any ideas ???

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  Před 3 lety

      If you look in the pond there are no fines at all. The Tempest are running from the skimmer, which is taking surface debris like any skimmer on any pond. The Tempest are not designed for a bottom drain.
