    Some other data I didn't include in the video:
    Highest concurrent Twitch viewers was 35,422 which was when sodapoppin played the game
    Wishlist conversion rate is currently at 10.6% (172 conversions out of 1688 wishlists in total)
    15 Units were sold on Mac
    13 Units were sold on Linux
    Made around $16 on this CZcams channel during the same period
    78% of the users opened the game at least once (465 users)
    38% of those users beat the game (177 users)
    11% got all achievements (51 users)
    Somehow 3 users managed to open the game without getting the achievement for opening the game (the game probably crashed LULE)

    By the way, I'm from Argentina and I know for a fact that people started buying more games since Steam changed the currency in the Argentina store from U$D to AR$, however the price you can see in that list (15:25) is not accurate. In Argentina there are a lot of extra taxes that you have to pay on top of that base price. I'm not sure how much because I don't live there anymore but there is a chrome extension that shows the real prices 😁

    I live in Argentina, the price might seem like half but that's because the government adds over 50% tax so in paper we end up paying like everyone else.
    In reality the dollar currency here is extremely expensive and we end up paying more since we need to use the black market to get them or buy from a reseller wich usually charges x3 the steam price.

    Hey, great analysis and editing. One thing, a huge thing, that was missing was a clip of the game.
    This is the first video I've seen from you and it would have been a great opportunity to show off a little bit of the game to newcomers (like show gameplay while you have the streamer's photo in the corner of the screen or something, or, especially in the outro).

    • @SeahorseGames
      @SeahorseGames  Před rokem

      Thanks! A short clip would probably have been a good idea but this is meant more as a gamedev video than a promotion for the game so I didn’t really wanna ”advertise” it too much to people who aren’t gonna buy it anyway 😄

      @@SeahorseGames Hey I feel you as someone who doesn't like shameless advertising. HOWEVER, I don't think it would be shameless at all and you create a self-fulfilling prophecy if you say "They're not going to buy it, so why show it".
      You guys worked your asses off on the game, you actually released it (which is way more than a lot of people can say): you deserve to show it off.
      Those first 30 seconds of the video set the tone and seeing a clip would make people go, "Oh wow, I can't believe they don't have more sales, this looks really cool."

    • @SeahorseGames
      @SeahorseGames  Před rokem +1

      @@FeedMyKids1 You bring up some interesting points and while your right in that I probably would have sold a couple more copies if I had shown a clip in the video, it was more important for me to make a good video that would generate traffic to my CZcams channel for the future, and that worked out well.
      Who knows if the video would have gotten picked up by the algorithm(the video is getting more views per day today than when I uploaded it) if I had a clip in the beginning due to people turning the video off/disliking.
      But I’ll definitely think more about subtle ”advertising” in the future 😉

    There are even times that certain games do the conversion to pesos wrong and end up being cheaper for a short time. until they fix it.
    that happened with the game " The Callisto Protocol " that it was at ARS$ 649,99 for a couple of hours and then was fixed. if u are from USA ,that is like $4.83.

      I'm not sure you can even have ads on steam games, I have never seen that. But I definitely think I would have made less if you could. Nah if I wanted donations I'd make a patreon or something, but that would only be if I was going fulltime dev, which I'm not. Just buy the game if you want to support us ^^

    This is interesting, you might stop by PirateSoftware Twitch stream, he has some insight in getting sales in Brazil. Brazil is a huge chunk of his games sales; he is always glad to talk about it.
