Dyatlov pass was actually a whole mess. So. The military was testing air burst mines, which caused a slab avalanche. Instead of a bunch of stuff all moving down a mountainside, imagine a bunch of stuff all just falling down at once. Like, imagine dropping a heavy box. But the sound that it made? That pressure damaged them all. They thought it was an avalanche and cut themselves out of their tent, but the damage done to them internally caused most of them to die not too long after. The missing eyes and tongues are just standard animal and insect predation. Birds love eyes.
The photographs are out there. There's a Russian site with all the reports and a TON of photos. For being b/w pics, Russian and the 1950s they're actually really crisp and clear. Recently they've even done translation into English.

Catsouras was mentally ill. She had drugs in her system, but it was probably a manic episode that actually killed her. She died from colliding with a toll booth. Although the pictures are gross, she died instantly and didn’t suffer.
The parents apparently knew something was wrong, but didn’t know how bad it was. The mother wrote a book you read about the harassment.
It’s very difficult for parents to get help for mentally ill children in the US. They did nothing wrong and as you said, don’t deserve to be harassed. When the behaviors first start, many parents also go through a period of denial.
There is no reason to see these pictures. They just show a destroyed human body. This is one of the rare times I would advocate Internet censorship.

It's hard to describe. Sometimes the hallucinations are very frightening. I have a long 6 inch scar down my left forearm because once I had a (the bite was real) spider bite there and I could see and FEEL spiders underneath my skin where the spider had laids eggs that were hatching, so I used a box cutter to cut a deep gash down the arm, and then HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of baby spiders poured out. Um, I started screaming in panic (for obvious reasons) and my dad was home and called an ambulance. Obviously everything apart from having a bite, cutting my arm opening and my dad calling an ambulance was in my head. I still have nightmares about that because the hallucinations are extremely realistic, so even though I know now it wasn't real, I still EXPERIENCED it as though it was real.
Morbid curiosity is a curse but hopefully I’ll still do my best to resist any rabbit hole

What's the worst thing you've ever seen?
The worst videos online are usually bloodless. The gross out factor of blood and guts gets old pretty fast, but it's a lot harder to lose your capacity for empathy.
The one where a brick flies through a windshield and kills a woman offscreen is a lot worse, because you hear the family's reaction.
The reason I'll never ever watch gore videos (even though they're relatively easy to find) is because I know they're highly addictive and will basically rot your brain.
The people who watched a lot of that stuff, specially if they started young, are damaged beyond repair.

i'm familiar with like 98% of these, and i've gotten pretty desensitized to true crime etc - nearly every gore vid you mentioned, i've either seen the vid itself or still shots from it. but there is something about the junko furata case that....man, i just cannot. i won't watch or read anything about it. maybe it's because of the length of time she was kept alive. maybe it's because of the end result regarding her killers and their families, which is a whole other level of infuriating. one of the killers has a twitter acct and literally every single reply to his tweets are about junko and how he should just unalive himself.
Nothing bothers me too much. I've delved deep into the dark corners of internet. The junko case is one that is unbearable tho. Super hard listen even if you thunk ur numb to it. That story hurts my heart in a way no other does
To be honest, just plain gore isn't disturbing in itself, it's more the context behind it that is. I think that's what's so jarring about Junko, it's all the details and context and how infuriating it all is.
Gore is easy to watch. If you can't watch it don't but I sleep sound sometimes I watch them on repeat
There’s a documentary about Luka Magnotta called “Don’t F**k with Cats,” it shows basically the process of catching him (started off as an online server of investigators who were just simple people that wanted to put this guy to jail for killing animals) and the other things he did that weren’t explained in the video with footage, like his disguises and footage of him throwing trash bags in dumpsters which contained body parts and stuff, it was also thought that he thought he was the star in his own movie, and you’ll know why when you watch the documentary, it’s real interesting, just shows unnecessary adult content in the first and last episode

In Nayoriyo you play as two little girls who are sisters. One shoots enemies and the other brings ammo. If you harm the sister, she won't be able to bring ammo and you will eventually lose. Shooting her will cause instant Game Over.
Depending on how many enemies you kill and which one you let get too close to you, you get different game overs. In every single one sisters suffer horribly

This iceberg feels like it was written by a 13 year old who is super sheltered, has never seen anything bad in his life but looked up creepypastas and decided that it was somehow the most traumatizing thing in the world.
