I have a question concerning custom beats 🙏
When dealing with an artist for the first time do you collect payment before doing the service or you collect money after the service?? I ask because I’ve been in situations where I made a custom beat for an artist who showed interest only for them not to like or want the beat anymore which just feels like a waste of time and effort on my own end with nothing to compensate for that…I would love to hear your advice on this 🙏
I charge after they are happy cause I make it clear at the start it they aren’t happy with the beat it’s no worries but they don’t get any rights to use the beat until payment is made. Just tag every update you send them. Then if it doesn’t work out I upload the beat to my store and it becomes another asset to sell on there
