- The countryside around Wells, England, is great for growing apples and you can visit farms that brew the authentic hard cider - known around here as "scrumpy." And at Land's End Cider Farm, Roger Wilkins is as old-school as it comes.
At www.ricksteves.com, you'll find money-saving travel tips, small-group tours, guidebooks, TV shows, radio programs, podcasts, and more on this destination. - Zábava
What a jolly fellow this Roger is! A gallon a day…
keeps the doctor away
You just know he's the type of bloke that will live to 100.
I grew up in Somerset and we regularly went to a cider mill to get some proper cloudy farmhouse cider. They had small barrels in the shop that you could sample the different ciders and I remember even as a 6 year old trying it and loving the stuff - and then sleeping all the way home!
Do you remember the name of any good cider mills?
burrow hill?
Beautiful cider! Beautiful Somerset!
Roger is the real deal!
The first time i went to England and tried this amazing drink i was in love from the start. Getting a good pint in Norway isnt possible unfortunately.
Can you import it from the UK? You can buy bag in the box cider I think. Not sure how much it costs though.
@@Kratos-005 thank you so much. It gives me hope that it might just be possible to fulfill my quest.
@@bjrngumundsen939 No problem. Maybe look on the internet to see if you can Import from somewhere, I don’t know if it might be expensive. Maybe look at some Somerset cider websites, I’m pretty sure there will be some places that will import it to Norway.
@@Kratos-005 thank you again.

As a Yeovil lad by birth, cloudy Somerset cider is the best in the world.

A gallon a day will make your liver pay
accents like west country and irish is actually where the modern american accent comes from
Midwest, wisconsin or canada maybe! If you see the ya hey der commercial for budweiser it sounds like that.
And East Anglian
if it contains only 6-7% alcohol then how can it knock you off?
Because it's served in pints.
You think you're fine, they you try to stand up. It seems to hit your legs more than anything else.
That's a fair question. All I can say is it seems to hit the spot very quickly. Far quicker than beer in my experience.
Have 4 pints of it and you definitely will be feeling it my friend. In some cases, it makes you fall asleep without warning. Like a kick from a mule. Strong stuff in large quantities.
Back to the pirate era 😮
That south western accent is hard enough for a British person to understand let alone the lest of the world!
Which is what, Scottish?
Is it? English is not my native language and It's not very hard for me to understand what he's saying...
I did not have trouble understanding him
first
This dude is an alcoholic. Keep him away from booze for a week and he'll start to climb walls
