You do realize that bellingham as a cm an cam run wayyy more than carvajal at rb ? Add up all the extra miles he puts every game for a whole season. The fatigue adds up. It is common knowledge that midfielders are way more knackered at the end of the football year than the defensive line
Surely being world class means you can read a match and adjust accordingly on the pitch. You can raise your game in adversity. Blame Southgate all you want, these players are overhyped.

Spains style of play as a team was too much for England full stop. Bellingham,Rice,Foden didn’t even show up. Its a team effort
Why does everyone rate rice so high? He gives the ball away a lot and gets a pass from the media.
Saka didn’t have the best game and I have been dubious about him in the past but he has been the one player in the starting lineup that actually ran at people and he doesn’t deserve to be lumped in with Kane. An on form striker would have been on the end of some of the crosses. He ended up just not bothering and cutting inside last night.

Issue with all this talk is just no one cares. Picking better players and picking a better team are two VERY different things. Picking the best players ins;t neccesarily a good ideal when they don't work well in systems that dont suit them.

We are in an era of pace being king. Foden, Bellingham, saka and kane do not threaten in behind at all, its to easy for the opposition. Southgate had taken players that could of caused big problems for teams but he didn't have the bottle to drop the underperforming big name players.

Southgate has totally wasted this opportunity. Bellingham has had an amazing year but he's played loads of football and looked tired from the get go. City and Arsenal players Sake/Stones/Walker/Foden/Rice have had a title race that went right down to the wire and it looks like it's taken it's toll. Saka apart all didn't look themselves. They should have been rested for at least 2 of the group games (that's why you have a squad) Whereas the likes of Watkins/Palmer/Gordon/Guehi/Toney/Mainoo/Eze/Dunk etc weren't mentally and physically shattered and should have been made more use of. I think it's vital you come into these tournaments fit and raring to go not exhausted from recent experiences.
This is pure cope. So many players in the tournament had long seasons. This isn't just an England problem

Even Saliba wasn't great in final match Are you saying all these played well. These are great players. Then don't become poor overnight. it's like race horses.. you train a horse for a specific race, you don't overtrain it or give it hard races before the big day. My point is you make use of your squad and keep things as fresh as possible.
Spain were simply better, technically and tactically. Yes, England are massively overhyped. You can only beat who is in front of you but England consistently have the easier routes to finals.
As for this tournament, Rice was truly terrible out of possession and cost England two goals, but nobody wants to mention it. Bellingham the same for someone who is meant to be the best player in La Liga.
