So Jin gained 3cms and 12kg since Tekken 3.

Its nice that they update younger characters stats,Ninas on the other hand was completely retconned
He’s around the age where men finish growing so it’s not unusual for him to grow like an inch or so. Hell, in previous games, Hwoarang was always described as being 5’11” but in T8 he’s 6’0” which was a really nice detail in my opinion.
Jin is a savage. Both using his Kyokushin Karate and the devil's power...
When i saw Jin use Do Mawashi Kaiten (Rolling Thunder Kick) that was the best feeling.
We've traded DAH for a clearer sounding CHESTO. I'm okay with this.

I really like the detail that some of Jin’s kicks are a bit flashier this time around. He’s got like a hint of taekwondo in there, which is beautiful, considering his relationship with Hwo.

@@crisalcantara7671 No shit. I’m aware of his fighting style. Just some kicks have a taekwondo-esque style to them is my point.
in tag 2 Jin could parry during omen stance and it would do a special parry animation if it connected, wish they had something like that in t8
I wish they added more of his Devil powers in his heat moves. Like maybe Power stance to a third eye laser combo kinda like Kazuya, or maybe even a new version of the Heaven's gate uppercut like Kazuya's but Jin's version will maybe incorporate the laser.

I think it makes sense from a characterization standpoint. Sure, Jin is starting to control his devil gene powers more effectively, but unlike Kazuya, he still does not want to embrace them.

Off of a heat and its “special mid” interesting.
The combat overhaul in this game is intense! The speeds feels like Dead or Alive and the combos feel stream lined like Soulcalibur 6 also Namco finally removed that weird “half foot crawling walk” towards your opponent. Now they only do that crawling walk on their first step and then, THEY FULLY ANIMATE ACTUAL WALKING STEPS!

could you explain with what you mean by crwalking stepp , when you say crawling i'm thinking of on all fours like a dog lol .
@@crisalcantara7671 in the all the previous tekken games, all characters do this weird half foot walking animation; it looks like a cautious half step. But in tekken 8 they only do that cautious half step once, but after that initial step they actually have a full walking animation, no weird inching half step

Tekken 8 Jin is great! The trepass slayer technique comes from Devil Jin's Samsara technique. So far it looks like they mixed Jin with a portion of his Devil Jin power.
The death of the DAH!...now he says "deah!" with so little impact in his voice...
To become competitive it will take me a year with all this moveset 😭
Love how Jin has come full circle and incorporated moves from DVJ. But this is just the greedy gamer in me wishing that he had more moves from DVJ like Flash Punch Combo, Three Ring Circus, and maybe getting a laser like Kazuya. Again, just the greedy gamer in me wanting an even more juiced Jin than he already is.
Demon's Hoof and Demon's Tail... So he's not just using his Devil powers in combat, like his dad, he's actually using his Devil Form's style in tandem with his own (I suppose Kazuya does that a little, too, but he seems focused mostly on bulldozing through the opponent, and sending them flying with punches and uppercuts that tear through foes (along with blasting them to Hell with lasers/Hellfire Blasts), whereas Jin seems more focused on surprise counter attacks, and using his powers to throw opponents off, and, from time to time, crippling them. That's how I see it, anyway).
Eh, Devil Jin was getting kind of stale, anyway. I mean, let's face it, having DJ as a separate character would be pointless here. By the way, I'm digging how Median Line Destruction looks. Oh, and Brazilian Kick? Wasn't it called Heat Seeker (unless that's a different move. Still, though, it's one of his Tekken 4 moves) until now?
I wish they have include the "3 ring circus" move he was known for on his debut in Tekken 3 and when Devil Jin came into the picture, he had an updated version of it and again I wished they included it. 😔

Oh man I remembered trying this for hours when playing Tekken 7 just so I can beat all my friends and play the story mode with ease

Some of Jin's changes are a bit...sketch in this game. Don't like the 2,4 not being a knockdown (just grants a Zenshin mixup now and frankly his whole 10f punish game sucks) and his Low Lunging Roundhouse Kick no longer can be followed up because you have to commit to the smash to knock them down.
Yeah i hate that to , hopefully they change that

The original plans for TK8 was supposed to have a devil transformation for Jin but got cut so Devil Jin will actually come back as separate character either a base roster or DLC
no I think that the devil transformation will be in the story I think

It's the same voice actor. His battle grunt is just redone. Everyone in this game had their lines redone too.
It's sad how Savage sword is still a combo ender in 2023 when there are way better options

You can technically still do it with while rising Square, X, Triangle, square and circle.
@@KyoRedBladeZR1 That would make it worst. It will be readable. If the move is unavoidable though, then it is fine. It makes a good punishment move.
