Got me a pair of Alien here. After your video on your betta, I started to think about adding them to my community.
I wish we could get this quality of fish in the UK. Most of our fish shops only keep the basic red or blue Bettas. I already have a lavender dragonscale and a black copper, but they were like finding chickens teeth. Beautiful fish. If anyone can point me in the direction of a reputable supplier I'd be obliged.

First post. Two questions, and two suggestions. What plants did I see in the shop betta tanks & in your spec? What is the best snail to add to my Spec V Betta tank? The flow in your Spec may be too strong, even for a plakat A prefilter over the outtake and/or several small holes in the tube may help. You may also want to close up the overflow slit near the bottom of the filter wall. It protects the pump from running dry if the water level drops below the top grate, but water can also bypass the filter media by traveling through the slit and straight to the pump. Keep us posted! I'm struggling with parameters in my two Betta Spec set-ups b/c I'm nervous about adding plants and cleaning fish/invertebrates after a bad LFS experience.

Aquarium looks very nice. Not sure what plant that is and how tall it grows. I like the floating plants fore the betta. Substrate looks like Eco complete. Only suggestion would be using some mulm from a cycled aquarium or adding some endlers for getting the waste production going for the good bacteria. 😀

The wife and I stopped by there yesterday and love the customer service and definitely the selection of fish offered. I picked up some driftwood and will be back later this week for some black tetras and hopefully a couple koi betta fish. Dan is an awesome guy.Your betta will love that tank Mr. IFG but I would add some type of red plant to breakup the green. Substrate I would say Fluval Stratum.

Love the plants and aquarium. The rocks might cause tears in the fins. Get a floating log maybe.

Hi, I think your Betta tank is perfect 👍 I have never had a Betta, nor have I had any interest in a planted aquarium--- but it was a very long time ago that I was very much into the fishkeeping hobby and I loved it! But life happened and mine changed drastically. So now I want to get back into it, and I have several different visions. First, I want Bettas, a planted aquarium, and community fish that I have had, and haven't had. So I have really been watching all the videos, taking notes, and doing my research. I bought a 40 l "bredder" tank and later, a 10 gal "complete" tank ,to use for quarantine--- I'm a retired nurse, so the health aspect always arises. Once again, your video was very well done 👏 I love your videos. Does that store owner ,Dan, with all the awesome Bettas, ship his fish? I'd be very interested in buying a Betta + several females from him --- and maybe he'd throw in one of those free sponge filters! 😂 Keep the videos coming ,stay healthy and HAPPY! Sue 🐠

The betta fish doesn't look healthy. try putting Indian chestnut leaves and adding a pinch of salt to the water and letting the betta soak there
