This film is an invitation to penetrate into the depths of a little-known spirituality, to discover unusual rites, ceremonies and festivals totally dedicated to the spirits.
It reveals all the depth and intensity of this very special relationship between the living and the deceased who are regularly invited to take the bodies of today's living during strange encounters.

Burmese, Thai, Lao, Cambodian, Chinese, many nations in Asia who practice Buddhism But they worship other religions as well, from a mix of local traditional beliefs.
For example, they believe in animism, spirits, ancestors, Hinduism, so they have strange rituals as seen. Buddhism is to follow the teachings of the Buddha only. There were no strange rituals at all.

The Original Buddha Doctrine is different from these
" Hindu/Jain" derived concepts, that are being spread all over the world, by people who have not entered the Path. That is why the Buddha reiterated that one should teach only after entering the Path.
The Buddha spoke of ANATTA, which is basic in His Doctrine. It means NO SOUL. No me. No I. Which means there is NO person, except the senses - from smell. Sight. Hearing. Taste. Touch, Mind and memory.
In the Dev DAHA Sutta, He Categorically states " If anyone says that, what one endures is a consequence of previous actions " that is NOT the Buddha Doctrine, but is Niganta (Hindu) doctrine. VERY CLEAR.
    -The Buddha-
Bhawa means one thought. PUNAR Bhawa means the next new thought. Therefore it is the thought that follows one after the other.
Therefore it is obvious that there is no me/l/ person to be reborn.
“ Bhawa niridho nibbanam “ means eradication of the thought process, is the key to enter the Path to nibbana.
The thoughts follow in a sequence and there is no KAMMA as described by the Hindu/ Jain faith, where there is reward on one hand and punishment or damnation on the other, as is the case in Christianity. This concept of damnation is questionable and will NOT last with intellectual dialogue.
The Original Buddha Doctrine, before it was mixed with the Hindu faith, is Supra-mundane and Supra-cortical. Even the concept of Anicca and Anatta is at the level of Quantum mechanics and sub-atomic particles. When a body or any object is dissected to the last of the material form, it is correctly called Dhamma after which it is a non-material aspect and no form called “ information “.
On the contrary, Buddha’s Teachings are correctly called “ Buddha Doctrine “ or Buddha wachanaya or the Buddha’s Teaching.
One has to stop the process of Bhawa and Punar Bhawa to enter the Path through Pragna and subsequently reach the stage of Dhamma. Thereafter one sees Buddha and Nibbana.
Difficult to fathom, but it is a process believed to follow as steps automatically, after stopping the thought process, through relentless effort.
The Buddha spent 6 long years doing meditation and found it to be futile, where he collapsed many times due to starvation and extreme emaciation. He realized that nutrition was important for all mental and physical activities. Thereafter he left the 5 colleagues and did the reverse of meditation, which was not concentrating or being mindful of any thoughts. He left the world of being in the mind and entered the Path. That must be obvious to any intelligent person, as the incessant7 mental activity is the enemy to the Path of Nibbana.
Not these mundane false concepts such as rebirth of the person.
Do your research and enter the Path, through " Cheto VIMUKTHI" which one could follow, listening to Dr. Gamini Abhaya MD. FRCP Consultant Physician/Cardiologist with NO fee, through Denageneemen Nivanata via the Internet. Until one enters the Path to Nibbana, by entering the first stage ( Sowahn) it is incorrect to teach or preach, which is like BLIND LEADING THE BLIND.
About time people used their own intellect without believing hearsay.

Wow, you sure know a lot. Buddah Dharma speaks of no self based on the skandas. The anata teaching have now been used to endorse atheism which Buddah also said was ignorance. Many do this unskillfully because of the intention is unskilled as well. Who is reborn? What is reborn? No self but karma dwells?

@@cwilkinsonwck I have in a small way researched for over 30 years and finally found the accurate answers, which tallied with my research, through Dr. Gamini Abhaya MD. FRCP. Consultant Cardiologist UK, via “ Denageneemen Nivanata “. Over 500 of his followers have achieved “ Siwahn “ and this is a fact. There are a few talks he has given to Malaysia Maha viharaya via you tube. All free. Try to forget what you have studies about “ Buddhism “ the religion, have an open mind, listen to the talks and you will be amazed as to the outcome. But keep it simple. Just listen. I have some recordings which I follow. It is simple. Hope you succeed to achieve “ Sowahn “. The concept of “ no self “ has been explained by the great Danish genius Neils Bohr as well. He reiterated what the Buddha espoused, that it was the senses that played a vital role to “ identify oneself and the external surroundings.”
