I still feel pretty safe cause ChatGPT doesn't do it's thing without training data which is basically everything that we fleshbrained humans put online. Basically, it can't do its thing without us humans. Also makes anything created with ChatGPT in all likelihood plagiarism
@@gerstein03 It really isn’t. That’s not how AI works. Otherwise you wouldn’t get shit like the dumbass lawyers who used ChatGPT for their legal filing, and when they asked it to provide citations it literally made up a bunch of nonexistent case files. You can’t plagiarize something that doesn’t already exist.
Calling it plagiarism is like taking those adaptations of say, the painting Starry Night except its full of cats or Monty Python’s Holy Grail and calling it copyright theft. Nobody in the legal world actually does that, we instead call that fair use, so why should it be any different just because it was done with a computer algorithm?
The uneducated masses seem to think that all these generators do is cut and paste different chunks of things and jumble them up together, but that’s literally not how it works.
And *even then*, if it did work that way (which again, it doesn’t), there would still be legal precedent to show that it’s not infringement - look at the music world, where it’s been ruled many times that a five-second sound clip interjected into your music counts as fair use.
Soon ChatGPT will start writing our comments for us. We won’t have to copy-paste someone else’s and pretend it was our anymore

Considering how poorly they’ve been doing their job a strike seems pretty much doomed to fail. You have to be worth something to strike and succeed, not just have ruined every property you can because you don’t want to do your job properly.

The dialogue is still by them, the general structure is still by them, at most the executives try to race/gender swap a character or two and shoehorn in a political message or two, it’s still the writers who decide to not be familiar with the source material at all, like the halo guys.

The "non" executives that you're thinking about are the showrunners and directors. They have creative control and a large pay check to their name. While generally they are better than the meddling corporate executives, they are still management. And yes, they are to blame also for a lot of the trite recently. These are not the people striking.
The ones who are striking are don't have creative control unless they work independently, like many on CZcams, in which case they're still at the whims of a callous greedy corporation *cough*CZcams*cough*, but many work for these large companies that make movies or TV and are treated very badly.
It's narcissistic and selfish to think only in terms of whether you are entertained when thinking of these people's livelihoods. Especially in the comments section to a video critiquing (lightly) automation.

I once let ChatGBT write a ZeLink fanstory. It was cringe af. When I told GBT that, it apologized to me and asked how it could do better.
Honestly, text AI are fun to mess around with yourself for brief entertainment, but other than that, it shouldn't do anything more than that
Tbh, this skit just concluded the debate that the internet is too scared to currently have with itself about who should write about everything they like or wish they could like or used to like.

Sadly our tech overlords (the actual ppl in charge) are quickly realizing how they have to restrict and dumb down the ai for the masses (the same thing they did to the internet post 2010 with mass scam adoption) severely stifling it.

AI can't replace that job, AI art and writing all just plagiarize what human artists and writers already do. That's why AI art looks so wonky.
Don't fear the ia, learn how to use it, and make it a tool. Having a thousand options just with a click to inspire yourself is something few people are doing, they either surrender to the ia or avoid it completely. 😂 I am studying to be a nutriologist, yesterday my boyfriend use gpt to make himself a training schedule and complete diet, and that shit was perfect. Believe me, your job is not the one in danger. Art is such a perspective thing, the ia ar far from perfection
