You missed the blue plaque on the wall mentioning about the tenure of the ground. You could've walked right around the ground too. Also, the building nextdoor is the local Tory HQ, Teressa May being the local MP. She's never been to a game.

York Road claim is very specific. York Road may not be the oldest ground but until proven otherwise it is the oldest ground in continuous use by the same club. Other grounds have seen clubs come and go.
