Bought one of these as a result of your review and what a piece of crap it is. Sound is muddy and the speaker distorts if you push it too much. Setup instructions were way out-of-date meaning Alexa just wouldn't work. Returned the unit the same day. Consider me unsubscribed...

I owned this speaker and took it back after a week despite only paying £50 for it. It looks fantastic and and has a lot of features. The ring makes it look stylish and expensive however there are quite a few draw backs worth mentioning. The build quality is average considering it was originally released as a £180 the speaker it feels light and cheap to hold. It's size would be more justified if it had an internal battery for portable use as it has usb out for external charging but needs to be always connected so it's a wasted feature. Also it doesn't include FULL Alexa features so can't connect with existing Echo speakers so you can't use it for multi-room with any other Amazon Echo or Show. Also there is no drop in feature available like official Amazon Echo speakers so you can't use as a tannoy around your house even if it is from one Kitsound speaker to another. Can't change wake word from Alexa or make phone calls to and from it either. Only has 2.5ghz Wi-Fi for some reason although it never lost connection for me but never tested it upstairs far from router. Also it only has 2 mics so doesn't pick up commands if the volume is above 70% however you can activate Alexa from the remote. Sound quality is ok but not balanced as it's too bass heavy and lacks depth and the equaliser is a waste of time. My recommendation is if you are in the market for a Bluetooth speaker for sound quality then there are better options out there like an LG PX3 XBOOM that's only £50 in Currys at the moment. If it's for smart features then get a smarter speaker as I would rather have 2 X Echo dot 3rd Gens for £50-60. HOWEVER if you are after a MULTI-ROOM Wi-Fi speaker system and are on a budget then look no further and go and buy 2 or more as that's where the KitSound Voice One Speaker excels and is a must buy. I like this speaker and only returned it as it doesn't do what I need it to do and I don't think it is being supported for any future updates either. In summary I would say It's nearly a jack of all trades speaker but doesn't quite master anything except it's value for money.

your'e comparing it to a 8 year old Sonos speaker, I understand Sonos are expensive but there is a reason why its still so good after 8 years. You do pay for what you get, who knows how long that cheap speaker will last.
Got these as a gift. Microphone died 3 weeks in on both.

I have had 2 for some time. The first one ended with me throwing it on the floor until it died forever and the second is in a cupboard somewhere. Wifi dropped at will. Alexa sent me to Coventry and ignored me more often than my kids. Constant unplugging to get it to start responding again. Seemed great at the beginning.

For the money. These really aren't that bad, I have two now and you'd struggle to get anything else this cheap that sounds half decent and links as these do. Two words of warning - 1) I HATE the light ring on the front of the unit. It is hella bright and if your speaker is on... You guessed it - the light is on! So at night with music playing all you get is a glowing room thanks to the silly light ring design. 2) if you link more than one speaker, only the primary speakers Alexa will work, which is an annoyance (this one may be in the video but I forget as haven't watched in a while). *But overall, I am pleased with what they give you for such little ££!

These are $179 per speaker in the USA. Almost the same price as a Sonos One.
The speaker is utter garbage. Setup is horrible, the sound is really bad, the Alexa functionality is slow, the microphones are near useless and if it loses WiFi connectivity it seems the only way is to reset it to factory defaults and start from the scratch. It was never able to reconnect to my wifi once it lost the connection (due to power outage, then wifi firmware update and after that a few tests just out of curiosity).
If you want an Alexa speaker, Echo Dot is miles ahead of this one in every area. It's sound quality is nothing to write home about but even that is slightly better than this shit. Bought two of these, sent them both back after 2 days.

Those are great if you don't mind Alexa. I personally don't want any equipment that has Alexa, Siri, Google, or Bixbie installed controlling my house. Nice review though.
Kitsound may brand themselves very well, but “reputable company” may be taking it a bit far. A few years ago I accidentally drowned a pair of jaybirds and bought kitsounds as a cheap replacement. I emailed a couple of questions which were escalated to one of their engineers, who advised me to find the cash for another pair of jaybirds.
Sounds like a good engineer, though there is the possibility they also make the jaybirds.

I have to say a well presented product. I live in Australia and the speaker you are talking about the £50 unit does not exist here. Well if it does I haven't seen or heard of it as yet. All in all looks like it's a keeper. Cheers.

Luca I got the LG SJ4 for around £160 and it’s perfect for everything I need - sizeable bar and subwoofer. Best quality music speaker I have in my house.

how can you compare this product to SONOS equipment? Qualitatively it has nothing in common the sound is bad. the product leaves no doubt about the quality just by the difference in weight. these two products are incomparable.

I got one for Christmas, I’ve a grey desk and it’s in the corner and looks very nice and theme fitting.
I’ve not had a problem with it! £50! The sound quality if you play with the Bass and Treble is really not bad what so ever.
I must say the volume control on the front of the speaker is a bit crap, but I’ve not actually used it all that much. The remote is excellent feels fantastic.
I’m in love with it! I’ve only got the one currently. But will be purchasing another for the down stairs of my house, and possibly even another one for my desk for stereo playback, I mean they look good... So why not!

Dose this speaker have a hard wired ethernet connection NO can this speaker connect to TuneIn to play radio stations from all over the world or music your home network probably not. This speaker is no Sonos killer.

Ok... Sonos also has Alexa built. Along with a deeper sound, a better build quality, more speaker setup options, a larger and better eco system. I could continue. Yes for £50 this is a great product but is it a Sonos killer....No!!!!!you said nothing bad to say about it there are plenty. What you do is you show off Alexa features that are available on all Alexa devices. Sonos allows you to group by pressing the button on the top. Sonos killer I laugh!!!!
