Greetings from Oregon! I'm as nervous as anyone and as frustrated when Villa disappoint. But this is so much more fun than playing for 11th place or trying to avoid relegation! I'm a Villa fan since 2008 and this is the BEST season I've cheered for them.

UTV from Texas! It’s gonna be tough cheering on City and Arsenal but I’ll do it for the Villa.
If we keep playing Konsa at Right Back we are not going to finish Top 4 for sure. We are quite fortunate that the Teams from 6th to 10th keep dropping points. I really would like to see Kaine Kesler-Hayden given a chance at right Back. I remember when he was on loan at Swindon he played against Man City and gave a very good performance. If we don`t give him a chance why on earth did we recall him from loan. Man Utd, Man City and Liverpool have been giving their academy players regular opportunities. We should do the same. Look at how well Philogene is doing. What a Bone Headed move that was by us to only have the buy back option if Hull are promoted. And we only got 5M for him.
Defensively he's pretty terrible.
Improving our defense, especially from crosses/set pieces would've kept us in the title race this season so that's priority to sort out for next season if we want to improve on this season/stay in title race.
5th gives us more money, Europe gives us more money, selling players more money, PSR avoided buy good players in the summer and we're on our way 😅 UTV it's been a fantastic experience
Tbh not qualifying for the champions league wouldn't be as bad as many people might think!! The point I'm trying to make is that take Newcastle as a example last season, they surprised many people by qualifying for the champions league last season but I'm sure many will agree with me when I say that they wasn't really ready for that competition?? In regards to their squad depth, first 11 quality in every position etc. And due to this they may not qualify for any European competition this season?? Thinking about all of these things I'm really not sure we'll have enough as a squad/team to go far in the champions league?? Maybe it's too much too soon?? By the looks of it at the very least we will qualify for the europa league, maybe that would "in our progression, growth and expansion, as a club" be a bit better?? Just a thought?? Whatever ends up happening come the end of the season I'm extremely proud to be an Aston villa fan!! UTV
If we don't get champions league we will have to sell our best players. Europa isn't easy to manage either. We could have Newcastle's season in the Europa League and then tomorrow never comes. You can't wait until you think you are ready. You have to take it when you have the chance
Have been saying it since United lost to Fulham, let’s just enjoy the ride. Best season I’ve ever experienced in the clubs history, and while we still need abut of luck in the coefficient race, if that goes our way, we otherwise should be guaranteed for 5th which would be UCL football. I ultimately don’t think we’ll finish 4th but I couldn’t care less tbh as long as 5th is UCL, we’ve got 6 prem games and a European Quarter Final double hitter, so let’s just enjoy what’s left of what has been an incredible season and now see what happens in Europe.

Season never lies - there are games we deserved more points or looked at as missed opportunities …. Others we are lucky we got the points we did - last min goals etc. very cliche but take each game as it comes as it will swing back and forth. If/when 5th is guaranteed - next Friday will tell all! - Focus on conference league to win silverware because 4th doesn’t matter and there’s less pressure on league games and rest players /avoid injuries
It’s top two for coefficient lads so Seria A is catchable even easier as no teams in Champions league Milan and Roma play each other Liverpool have Atalanta and then Fiorentina are in our completion we are more likely to catch Seria A than Bundersliga tbh
True it is. But Italy are already in the lead, have Roma and Milan in Europa League. Fiorentina expected to go far in Conference

Title challenge forget that for several seasons at least...consistency is key now...staying in the top 4 season after season..getting through to knockout stages of CL Season in and out..will help club grow...then maybe think about a title challenge.
We HAVE to improve defensively. You will come unstuck if you are as easy to score against as we are. The question is, is it system or personnel? Felt like we were much more secure last year

Yeah a few weeks ago I would have been more confident. We are saying we only need to win 3 in 6 as if we haven't just won 1 in 5

That's how Spurs fans think, they just want to better ARSENAL. That's their mentality, they base success I'm conjunction to ARSENAL.

Don’t forget we threw away 6 points to Manchester United & Newcastle & Spurs thrashed us 4-0 at home
Man Utd are 11 points and 18 goals behind us. I don't see them picking up another 11 points over the rest of the season with how inconsistent they are. We only need to be looking up at Spurs, who will drop points with the games they have remaining. We're going to the Champions League folks. UTV!

Bournemouth game is massive. Chances are they will be 3 points closer to us then. That's a must win or pressure will get cranked up on the players which would be a worry. Agree we really shouldn't be in any danger but Villa are Villa
@ClaretBluePod don't have to lose every game for them to catch us, they have a game in hand, plus let's say they beat bournemouth Saturday, while we lose to arsenal then they are 5 points behind us with their next 2 games being sheffield united and burnley at home. We have to win games and keep the door shut on them, it's not over yet.
Villa’s midfield no strength pace or power that’s been a weakness for ages and relying on Kamara is not good planning.

John Townley has basically ruled out the possibility of beating Liverpool at home and Brighton away. Why?? We are capable of beating anyone at home and beat Brighton away last year with Ings for crying out loud. So pessimistic!!

Pretty fair but I don’t think you deserved 4 points off us this season, we had you at our place with a terrible side available, 2-0 at your place and game done but I didn’t think you played well, your best period of play imo in 180 mins was at 2-3 at your gaff. Us getting only 1 point sums our injury ravaged season up, we haven’t had the squad to go set so many out and see out games, even Ivan’s been carrying a knock for weeks now with our whole first choice defence still out.
