As a Liverpool fan, I do not want to see MC win another title, but I cannot envision any way that MC loses to Spurs. Villa will qualify for Champions League. As a football fan, I would love Villa to do a repeat of Liverpool/Barcelona 2019. Villa shuts out Olympiakos 3-0. Villa climbs Mt. Olympus (pardon the purple prose). Okay, let the arrows fly.

Villa wont need to win another point this season....Spurs are done...they have been a little flaky all season..i guessed they were finished after Villa beat the Gunners and got away with a draw against Chelsea, mentally wrecked them...Villa wont lose 4th now...I more interested in the second leg in the conference now..win or lose i want to see Villa going all in.

I agree with John that recruitment this summer is vitally important. We need to offload some wages and generate more income to allow us to bring players in. Teams around us are going to improve also and I reckon Chelsea are going to be a much more competitive team. Exciting times ahead
I have such confidence now with emery i think we will get top 4 next season aswell if we give him the players he needs i think with a few top signings we could tune up our defense and attack and just become a consistent winning machine like a bayern munich like team

The idea that we are not ready for the CL is like saying we are not ready for the Premier League.
We beat Arsenal home and away, did Bayern do that? Did Real Madrid beat City? We did. We've beaten Chelsea, we've beaten Spurs and whoever else this season. How on earth does that mean you'll be beaten black and blue in the UCL?
Any Premier League team who finishes in the top 4 is one of the best clubs in Europe by definition and is clearly competitive in the UCL.

To have only Duran, an unproven wildcard at this point, as back up to Watkins, is silly.
If we have the cash for another top draw striker, ala Watkins level, then DO IT. This really is common sense.
Imagine being through to the semi final of the CL and needing 1 goal at villa park to go through against Madrid or something dreamy like that (LOL) and Watkins is injured and Duran is suspended. It boggles the mind that after finishing 4th with only 1 recognised proper PL striker, that we wouldn't then add to that having got away with it all season.

A working title of the podcast was Poddymoor Heath, which we obviously didn’t go with. So as an homage, we named our podcast recording space ‘Poddymoor Heath Studio”
We might be nowhere near the teams that will probably be in pot A of the CL but we're definitely near the rest. Arsenal in pot B (beat them home and away), Lille will be in pot C (knocked them out) and others like Celtic, Bologna, Sturm Graz etc etc

Even if spurs draw against Man city (which is highly unlikely) we could still lose both of our games and get 4th on goal difference. Does anyone seriously think spurs win all of their games and we lose all of ours..cause that's the only way we miss out on 4th

I think we lose the last two games. Olympiacos is the one they will have energy for after the disgraceful performance at home and with martinez back.
