You can’t have a great R&B tune without a great bass line… Maurice steals the show musically, and vocally. A tough task in this trio. I think this might be the vest vocal melody they’ve ever written… it stays in your head all day, and that’s such a good thing.
From about the same era, I love the chart disaster Mr Natural title track. Mr Natural was a polished (in my opinion) late-60s Hollies-style super track that was maybe an anachronism in 1974, and was a terrible flop despite heavy promotion and big TV appearances to kick-start it onto the charts. Incredibly for such an ear-worm song, it sold only several hundred singles per week over a brief period, and never even appeared on a Top 40 chart anywhere in the world (as far as I can tell). I gather it was a very low ebb for this former hit-machine group, and seemed to prompt their re-invention as a rhythm-driven, more overtly electrified band, and BEE GEES Version 2.0 soared to the top of the charts again with songs like Jive Talkin and the epic Nights On Broadway.

Every year when I was a kid my family Would drive our families customized Van from Buffalo to Daytona Beach. I was 11 years old in 1975 when the song came out. I remember listening to the Transistor radio close to my ear While laying in the back of our Van and staring out of the big giant window. . This song brings back such melancholy feelings. I still have those same feelings when I listen to that song. I'm 58 now. With great memories I have listening to seventies music on route to Daytona Beach with my familyIn the back of that Van

A group that complimented one another with their different strength..sad mo stayed in background and his alcohol caused alot of stress for robin and Barry.. as the were a fabulous team of brothers.Bary wrote alot of songs and even shows his talent in the songs he wrote for Andy to go to no.1.but Andy was a darn good singer and song Beautifully and captivated his audience with his charm and baby looks.. Talk about proud parents their parents must have been..still being in the industry they helped their talented boys as Barry has with his sons and maurices children and Robin's children.. as they are coming through with some lovely songs but in their take of their dad's..Robin's eldest son has made some of the bee gees song s even better and lively and maybe for the next generation to keep it all going..Barry will live on through their wonderful talents and his new take on the songs with other artists to compliment them even more..
