I am a father of two young girls, and today I am proud of this podcast.
As a citizen of Pakistan, I have to state that this person has exposed the true nature of a society dominated by men, in which very few people are aware of the fundamental rights that women deserve.

And it hijab does reduce the chances of a women being harassed . I was a kid but I still wonder what just happened, what I did wrong, If it's actually religious teaching then why I never got the authority to shame and control his actions according to "Islam" and who exactly gave him this authority over me. This is where the gender and religious crisis began.

Don't you know about the concept of **Amar bil maroof Wa-nahi anil Munkar** ( Enjoy what is good and forbid what is evil ) ? Read the Tafsîr of Surah Ale imran aayah 104 or Sahih Muslim Hadith 49a

It has been commanded to oppose the prohibited actions by your Hands ( if you have power to do so )
Also, regarding the choice... you don't have choice to NOT to wear the Hijab, if It has been commanded then you have to wear it, else you're Munafiq.
Read Surah Al-Ahzab aayah 36 **It is not for a believing man or woman-when Allah and His Messenger decree a matter- to have any other choice in that matter.** Indeed, whoever disobeys has clearly gone far astray.
