I've been saying this the whole time! People think Greenbull feared him, but I really, truly believe that Shanks uses Conqueror's Haki as a stun lock, or like a force flee ability in an RPG. Like in Skyrim, when you do the first shout, and it forces enemies to flee. Rayleigh did it, I think Luffy did it by accident in Punk Hazard, and if you got a step in the evil direction with that type of power, you get what St JayGarcia Saturn does.
I think it's also keeping him from transforming into his tree form.
@@carmeloedwards329 yeah, the anime showed us something interesting and I wonder if it was aesthetic or actually canon. When Kaido and Luffy were fighting and he was talking about how only Haki can conquer the world, he was flying upwards and flexing his Haki for the destroyer of death, and all the lightning caused by Luffy's DF seemed to disappear as he passed it. I wonder if that means anything regarding Haki negating DFs. We know Law does something similar

I think apart from the haki itself, I think the most impressive thing that shanks did here is how did he even know they are fighting. He must have observation haki that reaches hundreds of miles to even know what’s going on there let alone to stun admiral from that far.
