Multiple people that have sparred tommy have actually said similar things about being surprised to find out he’s way better behind closed doors in the gym. It sounds like he’s the kind of fighter that is great in the gym but can’t put it all together under the lights on the big stage.

@@rich-to4qo Yeah 9-0 with the majority going the full distance. He’s being put in there with journeymen that any real prospect should be able to T/KO and he just simply hasn’t been able to do that. He’s found a great path with the CZcams boxing scene though, he’s getting paid way more to box journeymen level opponents with huge names, but even then, he still went the full distance with Jake, so… His coach should’ve looked at the fact that Tommy hasn’t had a T/KO since February 2021 and realised it was unlikely to happen against Jake Paul either.

@@Chiamaka_ the sport of boxing isn’t all about KO’s/TKO’s it’s a coordinated dance or game of chess. Winning by points is still winning. He had no problems beating jake Paul, he will have no issues with ksi. Know why? Cause he’s a professional boxer. But I wouldn’t call him a blue chip prospect either….
And for those of you playing at home…. Tommy Fury’s K.O% is 44%
Also to be fair I believe Gordon Grant (one of Tommy’s former opponents) would of beat jake Paul as well.
People seem to forget that there’s a lot of different levels of professionalism in every sport. Tommy definitely doesn’t belong with the big fish in the top leagues but I could easily see him winning some form of British title or something along those lines
