He is also making contact on the sweet spot on the left, but too close to the handle on the right. His contact point is more over his front foot on the left, vs. too far in on the right.
Darn good stuff! I also noticed an improvement in hip/shoulder separation in the left video with the hips leading the shoulders, whereas in the right video the shoulders and hips were rotating together.
Yea I was always told is to stay balanced throughout the swing and to keep weight on that back leg and not lean to any direction because if your leaning then you can't generate the power through the swing. Plus I want that swing to go direct to the baseball but have the barrel of the bat go through the hitting zone
Matt. What program are you using to analyze these swing videos? Thanks for all the great baseball content. It’s an awesome resource for me as someone just getting into coaching youth baseball!
so good
Thanks for slowing it down and talking through all the frames. Really helps me to understand your thought pattern and objectives.

What drills were used to help this young man? I have a 12 year old that has very similar problems. Thanks

Thanks! And I use Coach’s Eye
Do you think it’s possible to swing slightly down and still have the bat in the zone a hood length ?
Looks like two different hitters
Back leg is much better and his right foot stays planted and his right elbow is in a better place in the revised swing
Pencil legs. Needs to hit the squats.
He just started his freshman year he’ll be ok
