      yes, it should provide better wind turbine power, but there are so far no widespread commercial uses

      Danke. Ob es im bestimmten Anwendungen traditionellen Propeller oder Rotoren ersetzen wird kann ich nicht versprechen aber der Mechanismus funktioniert. Ich und andere haben schon so Rotoren und Fluggeräte gebaut 😉

      generally lift is generated at the topmost and bottomost positions, but it really depends on the pitching schedule ( see an example here: czcams.com/video/oEn10C-UuqI/video.html )

      @@louisgag It is interesting from scientific side but, what are the advantages of this solution compared to the helicopter? The helicopter is a highly maneuverable machine. Furthermore, at high speeds this system would become inefficient both for the continuous disturbance to the flow and for the friction, the form and inducted resistances than the helicopter blades. Also in my opinion it would consume more energy than is needed to move the helicopter blades for the reasons explained above.

      @@antonellodigioia Buongiorno, yes, the helicopter is already quite well optimized in terms of maneuverability and energetic efficiency. The cycloidal rotor, however, still has a lot to demonstrate. Once it becomes further developed and known, it will likely be the tool of choice for a selection of applications, but obviously not for all nor for most.
