    Worked like a charm! Thanks for the help. Easy as pie, you just need the tools. As for the little black clip holding the gray cord, I just a crowbar to get it off. It’s not like you need the broken parts of the latch anymore. Thanks! Like a Pro!

    @jms123456789sandiego Před 8 měsíci

    Thank you very much for this video. It took me about 30 minutes to complete. A couple of notes for viewers who might hit the comment section before doing the project. One, several people have said there is a recall on this from Hyundai. I didn't check this before doing the install, but some might want to. Just make sure your vehicle is covered. Of course, for a $22 part with Amazon Prime shipping and 30 minutes of straight-forward work, one doesn't have to lose the use of your car while the dealer is getting to it. And the dealer probably charges Hyundai which increases the cost of vehicles overall (getting on my soapbox, sorry). Any money kept away from dealers is a good thing, no?
    The second note is regarding the 8 plastic clips holding down the cover. They were easy to pop out on my 2017 Sonata. But, at first, they didn't seem as easy to go back in as they seemed to be for Dullah. Then I saw that the clip had two pieces and that if the "cap" were pulled out a little, the four inserts that go through the hole could be squeezed together more easily in order to go through the hole without struggle. If the "cap" piece is flush with the tines or inserts piece they are much harder to squeeze.

I just got the recall notice in the mail and it says they will notify me when a solution is found. I can't drive it around with the trunk constantly opening so I just ordered the part from Amazon ($23.00) and replaced it myself. Kept the broken part so maybe I can get some kind of compensation when they find a solution. Thanks again.
