God knows what these kids will end up doing.

Actually, before Israel's onslaught on Gaza, Hamas' approval among Gazans was at an all time low. This changed now. The same popularity change is happening in the rest of the Arab countries, even the ones who were actually against Hamas, have changed their position.
Nothing unifies like a common enemy. Israel is doing an excellent job of becoming that common enemy based on their mistreatment of the Palestinians. Even your anti-war leftists are starting to sympathize with with Palestinians, and even, in some cases, Hamas.
