In my opinion, the battery life is significantly better on the op12. The rest is more of a gimmick and in the case of the ultra wide sensor even a downgrade.

Yeah, I feel the battery life is great. I would have needed another week with both the OP12 and the OP9 Pro to do a more detailed comparison. I can say that the OnePlus 12 replaced the folding Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 as my daily Android smartphone. I mainly use the Z Flip5 for vlogging and filming unboxing videos.

I agree the OnePlus 9 pro had a better wide-angle camera than the OnePlus 12 what a shame that we can't get that same OnePlus 9 pro wide angle on the OnePlus 12.

How is the night camera quality for videos?

With the right night lighting, yes, night photography is pretty noice... I find with night pictures or shooting video at night, yes, a tripod is often required with all of my smartphones:
1. iPhone 15 Pro
2. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5
3. Nothing Phone 1
4. OnePlus 12
5. Insta360 ONE RS
6. Insta360 GO2

OnePlus 12 screen time, eh? I charged it to 80% this morning around 08:00 and it is now 18:56, on screen usage is 93 minutes and my battery is still at 56%. The battery app tells me I have another 20h and 25 min until I need to plug-in

Oh... My screen time on the OP9 Pro was a good three or four hours when charged to 100% And that was when it was approaching its three-year mark.

All is all, yeah, I miss my OP9 Pro quite more than I thought. I was happy it was in such fabulous condition post three years of daily usage. I was going to gift it to one of kiddos since the battery 🔋 life & screen were still in great condition. Alas, the shiny OP12 tempted me… I will post a follow up review when I reach the six-month mark. Have I regretted upgrading to the OnePlus 12…?
