How lame must he be tho. To have an invisible suit and to waste it by stalking your ex🤦♀️ I’d be flying to Dubai first class, go to the cinema whenever I want no pay, stay at Beyoncé’s house etc
I love how the “Ariana what are you doing here?” phrase can always describe what we’re thinking every time a familiar person appears in a film unexpectedly 😂😂😂😂
I noticed that she never had time for selfcare 💅because she was never at peace. And was doing things for others but not for herself. The only time she dressed up 👗 was at the ending dinner because she knew she'll finally have peace ✌️.

this movie is definitely one of my top favorite movies because it truly depicts how it feels after a very traumatic. abusive, or PTSD situation. like you have this looming fear that this person is going to attack you at any moment, and this movie, visualizes it perfectly.
The sister irritated me so badly!!!! Like why didn’t she drive away once her sister got in the car!??! And then she sat there when the guy was banging the car window, like girl STEP ON IT!!!
To be fair, she had no idea what Adrian was doing to her 😢 She was in the dark until that very moment. I definitely agree though if my sister came running and told me to GTFO, I would be gunning it ASAP.
And then she really had the audacity of asking what happened like girl he broke your car's window to strangle your sis, what do you think he used to do?? 😒

I’ve read somewhere, the scene where the cops found Adrian tied up. Look at his eyes. It’s looks red and burned up. Like somebody sprayed pepper spray to his eyes.🌶️ Now remember the scene where Stormie’s character sprayed pepper spray on the invisible guy, she sprayed it on Adrian. That’s proof that he was there. 👌✨
And him not even admitting to her what they both know he did, was so on brand for narcissistic abuse. Even though he threatened to hurt everyone she cared about, he pretended his brother was the monster after the fact. So infuriating. Gaslighting 101.

When you said you were going to the gym now and hoped you could stay consistent and then a few minutes later reminded everyone to read their gym contracts because you can't get out of yours lol Or crying multiple times and saying "I don't like this", "Why did you guys want me to watch this?" only to say "I loved every minute" in the end... You're the best. NEVER CHANGE.
This movie is spot on. Take it from someone who survived several narcs and sociopaths as a child, when I couldn't escape. Instead of finding power for themselves, the weakest ones will try and steal power from others, whether it's through control, violence or both those things. It's damn near impossible to feel like you're not crazy when abusive people know that ruining your credibility is how they keep you isolated and attached to them. I'm not saying any of this for pity btw, I'm saying this as a word of caution: know your worth, and know your strength, because abusive people can see it, and these cowards will exploit it.
I was so emotional when I watched this one, too. Elizabeth Moss is such a great actress. That scene where she was fighting invisible Adrian in the house, she was a freaking badass. Her character arc going from a broken down, meek survivor of abuse to a freaking warrior is so cathartic.
I need Elisabeth Moss to star in a fun, campy, frivolous romcom or parody scary movie. She has the most expressive face in Hollywood today, but I need them to stop making her give pained, heartbroken, scared & traumatised face. Give something light & fun. Her and Evan Peters. Those 2 actors need happy, goofy roles immediately!

Love your reaction! When I tell you that this movie had me CLENCHED?? SO GOOD! This movie was so well done; it's one of my favorites. Such a satisfying ending!
Thanks for taking the comments into account, Chuu! I think it says a lot that this film was able to get almost as many votes as "It," which had so much more marketing. This film does so much with such a small budget. It really does induce all these elements of the experience of domestic violence using horror conventions. It's an overwhelming film, but it is so good!
I love this film but I think it’s more symbolic than literal. I think the invisible man is shown as Adrian is just a stand in to represent trauma. Trauma (in this case, maybe also PTSD) is the actual invisible man. It only appears AFTER her abuser "dies", even though Cecilia is no longer in physical danger, the mental danger begins - queue the Invisible Man. The Invisible Man, like PTSD, is a clear and present danger and can "attack" the person at any moment (in a bathroom, in a job interview, in a room full of people) but that no one can see but us. It only affects Cecilia at first - it follows her, stalks her, taunts her, and hurts her but ultimately it hurts those around her as well - it destroys her closest relationships and makes all of the people around her unsafe until they are unsafe. That's what untreated PTSD does too. It's only when Cecilia addresses her trauma (dawns Adrian's optical suit) that she can end/destroy it's hold over her. It's a great film. It doesn't necessarily promote healthy healing...I mean you never see Cecilia in therapy... but I don't think it's meant to be aspirational, just a thought-provoking thriller/action film.
Regarding the Saw films. The second one is worth watching but then I think after that, the franchise goes downhill. The later films (5,6&7 etc) feel like cash grabs to me instead of just stopping the movies whilst they were good

The actor who plays Adrian is 6'3" and pretty built so I believe him being that strong, especially with the element of surprise on his side.
And the fact people can’t see him to defend their self either. It’s hard to fight someone you can’t see
Still it's a bit too much, but they needed to make him as threatening as possible so it makes sense
