“Teach it like I love it..” …love that! My youngest and I have been going through basic geometry and it has been tough for me. I can’t believe how much I blocked out of geometry🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m learning with him again. Haha! Thank you for all you do!

We LOVED this, started in pre alg and finished with Alg 2. Non mathy child, precious public, private, Saxon and teaching textbooks. We did one lesson a week. Lesson Monday then tue-thur child did the lessons split up, we chatted on Friday.

We actually started learn math fast book 1 for my fifth and third grader at the beginning of this month, so I was curious about what the books looked like going forward! Thanks for the flip through and encouragement. I like math but was a little reserved on if I could actually teach it lol

Does vol 1 teach math fact memorization? Or the process of addition subtraction multiplication and division?
My son also has ADHD and math fact fluency has been hard for him.

It does both. They have timed tests to pass for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and maybe basic division related to multiplication facts (can’t recall at the moment). That serves for fact memorization. I will not let my daughter move forward without passing the test. She has had to retake them several times and it’s slow going but she is progressing, and the timed tests are (for us) much more engaging and effective than flash cards. The process is taught first and then there is a timed test for a set of facts. Then more instruction, then another test, and so on. It’s the thing that has worked the best for both my non-math loving daughters, and it has also worked well for my math-inclined son. The first book covers all basic arithmetic and multiple “grades”. Telling time not covered, so that would have to be taught separately for a child using this from Kindergarten or with no previous experience with that.

Yes, it does. It works heavily on math fact fluency.

So just to clarify, you did volume 1, 2, then 4….then 3 and 5…right?
