Recorded on a Zoom H5 and a Canon Rebel T3i. Guitars are a Holo Model Nouveau and a Gitane D-500. - Hudba
Guitarist on the left is incredible. His lead and comping is perfect.
And the best thing is that he's not even trying, he's just feeling it and enjoying it. Not showing off his speed or skills. I must say I appreciate, like and enjoy listening to more than people who are showing off.
he's fuckin Gonzalo Bergara!
That will probaby be because he is one of the greatest gypsy jazz guitarists in the world.
@@kellybjw after hearing him play here, I don't doubt it.
That right ?
Do you think that bass player was consciously aware of his facial expressions during his solo? I've heard of artists getting lost in the music, but he takes it to a different level. Watching Gonzalo Bergara avoid looking at him is equally priceless.
cunard61 that's a swinging bassist!
Hahahaha
"take it to a different level"
lol
I recorded a quick video of myself today playing to send to someone, and realised after I'd sent it that I was making really stupid faces without realising. I look like I'm on coke or something lol. But for reals, not making "guitar face" for me is really difficult and requires effort xD
more jazz please
"That belongs in a museum!!!"
literally
Andreas Hadjikyriacou I was about to reply with that, you got to it first
I absolutely love the bass players face during the solo.
UnderWaterFilms passion
yea the face of passion hahahaha
Bass-Face is truly an art in and of itself.
100% the guy on the left was trying not to look at him so he doesn't lose it. At 2:19 once he composes himself a little he sneaks a confirmatory peek.
@@jeffreygorodokin4112I’ve come back to this video to watch that exact part . It makes me very happy
. Excellent performance.
My grandfather is the drummer for Willie Nelson. My grandmother's favorite bass line was all of me, so he taught it to me. A couple months ago she had a stroke and is still on life support. When I realized it was the same version I burst into tears. Thank you for making this
Im so sorry for your loss.
I must have listened to Willie’s Stardust album over a hundred times back in the day and thoroughly enjoyed his band’s version of this song.
Man, that guy's soloing is so unbelievably mastered
it looks like gonzalo is trying his best to avoid looking at the bass player cause he cracks a smile when he sees him drooling
*thunderous clapping* don't see no love in the comments section for the great Gonzalo Bergara.
Carls Lobato I felt the fun in it.😂
Gonzalo's taste when playing is always tops with me
His playing has such authority 🤗
I love Gonzalo! I've met him in person and he's a really nice guy too. I actually owe a lot to this video for first introducing me to him.
I've commented this video too many times, but I'm gonna do it one more time.
This video was the one that got me and my dad started playing gypsy swing. We both now own a gypsyjazz guitar (both petite bouche). It has been a journey to a totally different style of music than we were used to, coming from blues, rock, contemporary, evergreens and more general styles.
We've been taking lessons since, discovering the great ideas of Django, and understanding that gypsy jazz is more than playing fast appegios and doing unusual chords. Besides the extremely hard learned techniques and memorizing stuff, the feelings connected to this is like being a part of the pioneering this style was back in the days. Like being a pioneer yourself.
I'm thankful that it was the great Bergera, that was my first new inspiration, and owe Josh Turner a part of my soul because he made it reachable.
If you like this, go check out The New Hot Club Of America, in which Bergera plays a central role. On a sidenote, this style was invented by Django and Grapelli in the 40'ies in Hot Club of France.
I love how Gonzalo (and Josh) had to turn their heads away from Clipper during his solo, so they didn't start laughing at Clippers epic bass face. Gonzalo couldn't help himself though and had to take a peek at 2:17 but I recommend watching Gonzalo and Josh from 2:03 to the end of the solo LMFAO! That is one insanely talented trio!!!
Buddy Bellwether lol he is about to piss himself.
what a fantastic channel this is. every single one of your videos brings me joy.
One of the great things about watching Josh is how much fun he has with music.....Josh and Carsontogether is a great combination too!
And: Every uploud is a surprise! His mix of genres is amazing!
yeap! EVERY - FUCKING - VIDEO
Did anyone else this this was going to be a John Legend cover but then were really glad to findnout that it isn't!? :D
me!!! I love his channel because it's always introducing me to new music ♡
No. This is old school. 😉
Dude! You share my Uncle's Italian family name.
You Italian or have distant relatives in central Italy? 😂
I don't think Josh plays anything that was composed after he was born. He has taste.
Very wrong. He loves the Avett brothers and has done covers of them.
For a month I avoided this video because I thought it was all of me by John Legend lol now I've watched this at least 10 times in a row. Bravo great job
Oh man, great to see Gonzalo around these channel, our national pride. Argentina represents in music
Didn't knew the guy, makes sense he's Argentinian
I was expecting (at 2:25) the bass player's tongue to whip out like a lizard's and catch a fly.
Lol
He's just yackin' on a bone. He's got it up. He's alright now. (Little _Christmas Vacation_ trivia there....)
i cant stop laughing whenever i recall this comment
He looks like hes gonna gag XD
Lmao I was dying, I had to see what people said about that! Lol first comment I see
Gypsy jazz is the coolest thing ever. Josh to you have any tips for someone who wants to learn how to play this style?
The easy way would be signing up for a gypsy jazz academy, e.g. Rosenberg academy or GyspyGuitarAcademy. You'll get lessons on just about every jazz song out there. But a subscription costs around 25 euros/month! The hard way would be just learning some gyspy jazz standards like this one and e.g. Minor Swing by googling or looking them up on youtube!
Learn chord embellishments such as major and minor 6th chords (the gypsy chord) and major, minor and dominant 7th chords, as well as 6/9 chords, and etc.
Learn the La Pompe rhythm, as it is essential to the gypsy sound
Listen to and learn jazz standards to pick up on the nuances of each different version - no two versions are the same, and this is what gives jazz it's sense of individuality
Learn the history of the genre
Brush up on music theory - in jazz, you must know what you are doing
Learn jazz licks from your favorite artists. Doing so develops your 'jazz vocabulary'
Listen to different types of music, as this will make you a better musician, regardless of the genre you play.
Have someone to jam and discuss music with. This is an overlooked, but invaluable aspect to your musical journey, more than you realize. Having someone to healthily compete with and hold you accountable for your goals, and vice versa, makes for a productive music realtionship
@@moonlapse_vertigo Oh... so true! Playing alone in your bedroom makes for stilted and poor style.

@@leviackerman-em5wz To pay respects
Josh loves seeing others at their best and showing their talent. I think that lack of ego will help get far.
00:00 bap, th, ah, woah...
Playing with Gonzalo Bergara- that's right up there!
man, can't stop listening to this
GREAT!!!
Voice, bass solo, all of it!
Gonzolo's movements are *extremely* efficient! With the simple looking motion of his hands, it doesn't look like I should be hearing that many notes. He just makes it look effortless!
the secret is practicing really slowly
Keep coming back to this - LOVE IT
I loved every single thing about this
Even if you don't like jazz how could you dislike this. Sounds great guys.
josh; the three of you guys playing are a great expression of a team "working" together. Great vid, watched it several times before moving on...... Thanks
I have loved this song for a very long time! Thanks for nailing this one!!
How could you not love this!!!
There’s no end to this incredible.........🙈🙈🙈🙈❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Juste magnifique... épuré et précis, respect du morceaux, bravo!
Great music never gets old! Still coming back to this one years after years
I've watched this a dozen times over the past 3 years- and it IS better everytime.
I love the faces the bassist makes during his solo! He's really digging it!
i love the method you use to record these songs, makes them sound so natural and real. great performance mate, keep up the good work :)
I am blown away. So incredible, all three of you.
I cannot describe how much I love this arrangement!
Oh man, I hadn't seen this one yet - I have always loved All of Me! What an amazing performance, so much fun - and both solos were outstanding! Thanks so much for sharing, Josh!
you truly amaze me with your playing
One of my favorite songs of all time. Masterful job guys!
I keep coming back to this song. You guys really had fun playing it, and it shows!
There's something about Gypsy jazz that simply speaks to me. It just connects. Thank you for this. It's awesome.
One of the greatest guitar solos I’ve heard on this standard.
... watched this so many times I have lost count ... this is extreme talent guys ... one of my favorites ..
Amazing musicianship guys absolutely stunning, bravo
More amazing every time I watch
Finally a cover that's not only amazing but doesn't have people complaining about it not being the "all of me" they were expecting.
I love watching musicians when they are so clearly having fun playing. This one was too good. Thanks a lot!
Fantastic! I had a huge smile all the time. Thank you guys!
Guys that was fantastic please record more old tunes..Thanks for remembering the past where all us great pickers come from..
Josh's talent is supernatural. He's obviously channeling many long lost artists. Nobody can be this versatile. Awesome.
Simply beautiful boys..... couldn't have been better......
love it guys...gonzalo you are my hero...love everything you do...best bass solo ever...
Gonzalo, Clipper and Josh - We ALL 'felt the fun' in this! All three of you played (and sang) to a fantastic standard. This has to be one of absolute classics in the huge Josh Turner website collection of outstanding music videos. Many thanks to all three of you. The hilarious inter-personal dynamic around Clipper the bass player's 'concentration face-pulls' and the sterling attempts at self-control made by the other two while trying to focus on playing to the highest standard and pace were a wonderful bonus. It just adds personality and another dimension to the fun of this superb musical performance. Congratulations to all!
Josh, as I said before, this was the video that got e started in gypsyjazz. Broke the wrist ealier this year and pretyy much given up playing. Did out first gig today and it went great! Thank you, and thank you Bergera! You are a true inspirerer!
I love this - it's so contagious! Take a song like this that has been around so long and play it with enthusiasm and joy. Ahhhh! the power of music!
I’ve watched this video for months. It’s seriously so good!
Love the eclectic range of josh and his friends
Sometimes I forget how good a singer you are, that was my fave part of this video.
Love to see musicians smiling at the sheer enjoyment of hearing another great musician play
Heard many versions of this song, but the appeal of this one makes it not only the better one but also almost a new song altogether.
Josh dawg you blow me the fuck away with every video. Keep this up and you'll get the recognition you truly deserve.
Josh, this is a great way to show your versatility. You're all over the 20th and 21st centuries.
What an incredible group of extraordinary talent, fantastic work!
My new favorite Video on YT! Greetings from 2022. Everytime i watch it, i spot something new.
I keep coming back for the solos and the bass face :)
Josh's hair looks like the mic cover

zodiac7jo Musical orgasms
it must be painful looking at his face
zodiac7jo I play guitar and sometimes I have done it as well. People think that it's weird, but it just happens because you are really into what you are doing.
Love the music.. and the quaint touring van in the background.. :D
I love this performance!
Dang man, I think you are one of the best guitarists and musicians in CZcams. :)
This is one of the best things on the internet.
Just wonderful!
"I felt the fun in it" - That's what music is all about. Great cover!
Clipper Anderson, A-tier bassist and cunnilingus legend
😂😂😂
I feel like that I'm in a Pixar movie.
Ratatouille.
This type of sound of music is in almost every Pixar movie if you think about it. Monsters inc, cars, etc
Cuz jazz and old classics makes you feel nostalgic.
this is simply great
Great sound, all 3 great talent. Thanks
That's really great man. I remember you were always good even back in high school.
PS I am Cooper haha
For me, this is the best one of you guys! For sure I am responsible for at least 1000 views of it :-)! ConGrAts!
Left me feeling happy and appreciating the guitar as an instrument.
Josh, you always have incredible collaborators, but I think this time you outdid yourself. Three great performances in one! Kudos all around!
Harry Potter, Ben Stiller, & Phil Donahue. Mind blown.
lol
I rarely literally LOL at comments, but you got me!
Me, too, Roy Tee ! Me too. 😆
Ha ha ha good one! Does Gonzalo look a bit like Robert Downey Jr too (aka Tony Stark)?
If the bass was Steve Martin, that would be funny
When you can play like this bass player, you can make any face you want.
Wow Josh, that was amazing. Keep making music for this world. You serve as an inspiration to me, thank you!
This is just crazy good. Thanks for making and sharing it with us!
2:04 Strongest bass face I've ever seen
Finally an argentinian on the spotlight!
Your reaction to Gonz solo said it all. great jam. great arrangement. keep them coming.
This reminds me of my hero and grandfather who loved django reinhart and stephan grapelli, which was played to me growing up religiously. The wonderful sound of gypsy jazz will forever remind me of that great man. Thanks, from a fan
just thansk ! a very big thank for this pleasant moment :)
that guy on the left is freaking awesome
Thank you for keeping it classy young man!!!!
What great tone(and playing) from Gonzalo!
