Just a heads up. They're not a designer. Devil Inspired is a reseller/importer for many different designers who sell on Taobao. It matches the image because they use the actual store photos. So most of their stuff is inexpensive because of where it's produced and the original brand not because they're knock offs or dupes! Also as others have pointed out the measurements are without fitting ease. So always size up if you can.

That's a beautiful dress. A lot of times the "measurements" are the actual measurements of the garment, not the intended body measurements. A garment should always be a little bigger than the body it's for, and clothing websites don't really make that clear.
It's giving "Phantom of the Opera" vibes but in red and I love it!
I love how it looks I don’t think I could ever pull it off as wonderfully as she did but for a 61 dollar dress absolutely stunning and I definitely love it and how it looks
You can see they styled it over a petticoat so the dresses should be longer than floor length to compensate.
You can get a corset back kit and take out the back panel and add the corset back and itll help with the fit issue.
Most Taobao lolita designers make smaller batches of dress, so your best bet is usually finding someone you can preorder from. So if you really want this dress, you can wait for the fourth batch or buy second hand. The designer will announce it on their weibo and taobao shop.
Detachable is always a win win. Especially if you wanted to wear the chain with something else. Universal compatibility is the name of my game.
Wow, this really surprised me. 60$ is an insane price, even if the fabric is not the highest quality! I honestly expected it to look like those cheap costume shop dresses, so it was a very pleasant surprise that the photos were actually reliable.

A lot of times items will have one minor difference that they probably don't think you would notice in the picture compared to when you get it. Similar to the WW2 replica military jacket I got from the history bunker. The belt that came with it had a wool buckle in the picture but it was a metal buckle when it arrived. Dyed it black of course or tried to. It sits at a charcoal shade.
Just be careful with Devil Inspired! From what I’ve heard their customer service is TERRIBLE when there’s problems with your order. I follow someone who had an almost 6 month battle with them for a refund on items that were returned for an exchange. Her tracking showed that they received the items back, and then they tried to ghost her!
I've been wanting to try Devil Inspired for years. A lot of lolitas I watch on here recommend it if you don't have a huge budget. This dress was gorgeous! Maybe I'll finally give it a try. :)
Devil Inspired is a reseller that upcharges quite a bit, they're one of the worst when it comes to that. I would recommend ordering from the brand itself on taobao, either with or without a shopping service.
42 lolita is far cheaper btw!

But I'll tell you the short version of it. 42 l0lita is also known, just like DI, for upcharging a lot. Some of the items on both resellers are 2 or 3 times the original price. 42 l0lita also overcharges for shipping.
DI is known for terrible customer service, and 42l0lita as well as their mother company 42agent are also known for terrible (or nonexistent) customer service if anything goes wrong. Save yourselves the money and trouble by just buying those items in the original store. Use a reputable shopping service if you need a shopping service.

It looks so beautiful on you!! I just recently went to a Renaissance faire this weekend and I used my hoop skirt for the first time and realized that there is a reason why you see so many hoop skirts without any fabric between the hoops. It gets so hot under there, especially here in Texas. Yet, I had fun and will totally go back but I will be changing my hoop skirt just a bit.

please buy a petticoat this is a Lolitafashion dress; Lolita fashion originated in Japan and is always worn in combination with a petticoat for the corresponding puff of the dress. and look at the sizechart the sizes change a lot depending on the brand on devil inspired
I would definitely recommend taking it to a tailor for alterations. They should be able to suggest options for making it fit better.

I replaced all the clasps on my necklaces with magnetic ones when I had nerve damage in my hand that made it hard to grasp small things It worked really well and the magnets were surprisingly secure
I have permanent injuries and nerve damage and I find it easy to do my necklaces up I can't use magnetic closures because they come apart and fall of me
getting the matching sleeves was a great decision. It's so beautiful omg
Try adding some mesh panel inserts to the side seams and where the sleeves hit the back panel use some black elastic. Any seamstress can do this for you or it's a fairly easy diy job.

If you gently steam the dress (with a non-touching iron), you may be able to loosen up the arm hole elastic a little bit. Good luck, it's very cute on you.
Hi! hmm, perhaps you could do some surgery on the back. cut the stretchy fabric down the center & add some grommet tape, and lace it up satin ribbon, so it looks like a corset in the back? you probably also find similar stretchy material to make a modesty panel, so your back isn't out. unless you don't care about that.
I had to do that with a UK company whose sizes are way small even when you covert them.

Wow fantastic find! That fabric is amazing & love they’ve thought about details like the hoops to attach the pearl chain too. Love the detachable sleeves, they’ve definitely put a lot of thought into the design of this dress.

If you are busty, side zippers suck. I would much rather have a back zipper.
Replace the elastic panel at the back for one that's larger and you should be able to get it to fit better.
i think its kinda funny that this store popped up in more mainstream about a year ago… i have a devil inspired lolita dress that i got probably like five years ago. this is gorgeous though, happy to know theyre still around

It would look amazing with the back open but lace up if there is a bit of extra fabric at the bottom or if you can get some matching ribbon. There are tutorials out there or maybe a seamstress can do it for you. Lovely dress ❤️

This is most likely made either by robots or extremely underpaid workers based on the price for that much fabric and the assembly of it

Yeah, I'm not surprised, never NEVER round down, especially with Asian brands. Besides it's a lot easier to have a garment taken in, than try to magikally create fabric where there is none to make a garment larger.

I reeeeally love their stuff, I’ve been seeing adds for YEARS and I’ve always wanted to buy a dress from them. Unfortunately, the store being from china means they’re not size inclusive 😭😑😭
They're a reseller, so they don't actually have a set 'size range', and the stock changes seasonally. That just to say, check back occasionally, they do sometimes stock releases that are more suitable for Westerners.
Well, they say they carry my size but only have 8 items available in it. What a shame.
