  • William Wordsworth's Prelude is the first example of the Romantic epic we will study. I address some of its distinctive features as an epic and the common tendencies of Romantic epics before going on to look at Wordsworth's own characteristic features.

    Good lecture. One comment. Ruach (wind, breeze) is not a Greek word; it’s Hebrew.

      Did I say otherwise? Pneuma is the Greek word.

      @@LitProf not sure now what I heard. Maybe I should listen again. It will be worthwhile. But I think I heard you said Ruach is a Greek word for wind. But Ruach is actually a Hebrew word for wind
