  • In this episode I removed the rear end out of the '69 Cutlass, and also remove the axles from the rear end to change the bearings...that's when i get a surprise.

Hello, what would make the rear end tuck in or stick out more on this type of rear end?

I thought the axles had a C- clip that retained them inside the dif housing? Are some like that? 1979 gm 7.5, 10 bolt cultass supreme

I believe the chevy axles all have the c-clips, while the BOP(Buick-Olds-Pontiac) use the bolts behind the drums to retain them

not true..BOP can be C-Clips also...Depends on the application. Most passenger car axles are C-Clip starting in 1973.@@borgtriestofixit

Got a question for you. How did you remove your dash. For me I am struggling to get it

I used this link that walked me through it...the site is talking about a 1970, but other than the instrument cluster, the process was exactly the same...thisoldscar.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/removing-the-dashboard-on-a-1970-cutlass-supreme-convertible-part-i-of-ii/
