Nice to see people catching on to the roll Gjerda's been using since DSC came out. Heritage has 68 AA at base so adding hipfire grip, freehand grip mode and moving target make it lethal regardless of whether you ADS or not.
now itâs actually insane bc of the reticle change, before it was still alot of RNG but now it can be consistent
I prefer the new offhand perk now and go full hipfire all the time
I'm both happy and depressed you finally learned the ways of hipfire slugs. It was absolutely incredible watching you use it, and it only made me think how dog water I am with them :P
But now that people know about it I'm gonna see it a lot more. It was a very very niche thing a lot of people didn't know about. Also if you didn't know, when Iron Banner comes around, Gunnoras axe is making a return, and it can get 83 handling, 86 range, with Hipfire / Opening shot. I'm blowing ALL my shards on focusing it I don't give a fuck.
Everyone tell wallah he needs to go craft a trustee with enhanced high impact reserves, you can already 4 tap at 15 rounds with it which is way way better than normal because the new high impact reserves starts at 75% instead of 50!
Trustee gonna be a monster.
I always tell my carries to put trustee on or good 260 if they got it they actually bang for lower skilled players

I have a Slideshot Moving Target roll of this gun and it's been my favourite kinetic special since I got it. Great base handling and range, a long but unintrusive weapon model, it's still the best slug in the game even with Adept Inquisitors running around IMO

@@BuffGenji Nah, legendary slugs come in 2 types, either high handling(~70) or high AA(~60), the only legendary slug to have both high is Heritage.
That's probably THE reason it doesn't have opening shot because if it did it would be almost as good as a exotic slug.
@@armageddragoon2514 it has higher aim assist, but inquisitors wins in everything else and has opening shot. If you count alacrity and opening shot, it can get quadruple 100 stats I think

hipfire grip had already been absolutely busted on the FILO in combination with opening shot, but since the heritage has such beast base stats, you do not need opening shot to make it better than the FILO. plus enhanced perks
Iâm so glad they made this weapons craftable. Iâve been wanting to play the raid for so long but wasnât able to since thereâs no longer any motivation to. But since this update, I am able to find more groups to play with.
If you wanted to play full hipfire mode then slap on offhand strike instead of moving Target. Grants range stability and accuracy for firing at the hip

I was aiming to get red boarder Heritage, but I ended up getting Successions
Worth noting, there's another good option in 4th slot for this roll.
Offhand Strike in 4th slot will enhance your hipfire even further, extending the range by quite a bit after a kill.
Sounds like a mini roadborn perk, might have to try that lol any idea what kind of range boost it gives meter wise?

killing wind grants like 20 range and a 5% multiplier or something i think, plus its other perks. idk what offhand gives yet, but it improved another gun's hipfire by a few meters in someone's test that i saw a while ago.. i would say more details if i actually remembered where i saw it to check, but i dont, so apologies
@@tenacity25 no worries pal, not had one to drop yet and not seen anyone else mention it being paired with hip fire so sounded cool. Hopefully I get one to drop so can test distances to see if it adds a decent enough range increase.
Interesting. I hate using shottys - I suck with them -- but I have a First in, Last out with fullbore, accurized, opening shot, and hipfire that I vaulted as a curiosity. Now i have to go try it at least once.....

Heritage, FILO, and Blasphemer are the contenders for best slugs with hipfire grip imo. Filo and Blasphemer also has Opening shot to compensate in the competition against heritage in terms of range.
Heritage and blasphemer don't even belong in the same sentence honestly, heritage just has way too much going for it

this was my highest kill weapon like 11 months ago when I last played. I had one with 5000 kills one with 2.5k and one with 900 kills. I dont have any way to play anymore but I loved that gun and the game.
This shotgun has always been good. But the fact its this good now is cool. I love the DSC weapons. The sniper is also super slept on.

People forget (at least concerning Shotguns, particularly slugs) that range matters in that it will still help the AA and/or the accuracy cone (I think both, but I can't remember the specifics atm.)
btw offhand strike is a 1.4x falloff scale and 20 range on smgs(idk abt shotguns) so that could actually be worth running on this

moving target only applies when aiming down sights. off hand strike would probably be a better final column pick, especially since it plays into hip fire more
I haven't gotten very far with it, but on paper I can't let go of off hand strike. Interesting you chose moving target over it but the mobility you get out of it makes sense.

Heritage has always been the best legendary slug. Now it's even crazier. Almost all DSC weapons are great! So happy they are craftable now
Extended barrel length on anything will improve long range accuracy, I'm glad bungie recognised this.

Before this, the max range First in Last out WIth Hipfire and Opening shot was da bomb, not only in this shotty superior with enchanded hipfire but it's also got way more aim assist.

i suck ass at pvp. I picked my groll heritage i got on my first ever raid with my friends who introduced me to the game and went on a tear with synthos, sluggin and punchin. Raised my K/D by .1 within 3 games.
