  • Hydraulic brakes, disc or rim, feature superior braking power and also the best possible modulation.
Today I’m going to replace the rim brakes of this 1996 Specialized Ground Control, from mechanical to hydraulic system.
The Magura Blue contains both the front and rear brake calipers and levers, however, one of the hydraulic hose needs to be replaced.
Let’s start with the front brake installation.
Sleeve nut, brass olive and hose insert are needed to fit with the new hose.
Take out the old hose and replace it with a new one.
The cable guides fit onto the cable stops and secure the hydraulic hose to the frame.
These adapters are best at converting your cable stops, they do provide a clean look without the need of securing the hoses using zip ties.
    Where should I put it?
Make sure the hose is firm and doesn’t touch the frame.
Install the brass olive and sleeve nut and then bleed the system.

@@DanyoSports i dunno much about this... but i came across a video where they swapped hydraulic oil for water and said it works pretty well (not sure if they were trolling) for hydraulic rim brakes.
