Erik ten Hag loves a hard-working player. Mason is definitely that. He's got his best years ahead of him and I look forward to those years being spent playing for my club.
I've notice the amount of times he picked up the ball facing away from the opposition goal and managed to turn or keep the ball moving towards the opponents goal, something united have lacked sorely in recent years.

as chelsea fan i don't know why we sold him he was english and filed the role of 15-18 age quarter for registry and was hard working.
But he himself wanted to leave the club, so is it right choice to keep a player who don't want to play in your team ?
Because he is not creative or technically good enough to play as a #10 and he's not good enough defensively or in possession to play deeper. He is currently not the kind of midfielder you build around and play 2000-2500+ minutes and expect to compete for titles consistently.

Great signing but no.7 decision was very poor. Sancho 70m signing - didn’t give him the number, Antony 100m signing - also didn’t give him the number, both are wingers too. So why does Mount get it? Especially after flirting with Garnacho about the possibility. Garnacho is an electrifying winger, sure to be a future star, idolises Ronaldo, plays similarly to the Utd version of Cr7 in the same position - the clear heir to the legendary shirt. Should’ve just waited a season before handing out the number. Garnacho may not have bargaining power now, but in the future when he becomes world class, if he doesn’t get that 7, it’s gonna be an issue, an issue Utd don’t want when Real Madrid inevitably come sniffing for him. Poor and strange decision.
You must have forgotten that Ronaldo isn’t the only legend to wear United’s legendary number 7. Mason Mount is the new David Beckham 7.
