In this video, I will show you how to paint the fantastic new model of Ushoran, Mortach of Delusion for the Flesh Eater Courts. I am really happy with how this one turned out - so make sure you watch the video all the way through to get all of the info you ned, to paint your own Ushoran!
Ushoran is such a great centre piece model, we'll take our time with it and go into a little bit more detail than usual, so I hope you enjoy the slightly longer tutorial! A huge thanks to Games Workshop for sending me the model out early to create this content for you!

Outstanding work dude, you should be proud. I hope this encourages people to push themselves as you clearly have here! ❤
Thank you so much - appreciate it!
We have discussed this on and off for years, but your ability to explain and demonstrate painting techniques is superb. 👏
Cheers mate
@@ThePaintingCoach based on this comment immediatelly subbed and looking forward to learning
Thank you!
Its a great vid watched it a few times while painting mine and its come out pretty nice!
That's awesome to hear!
Stunning model and paintjob! Makes me happy seeing a fellow painter as talented as you sticking to the brush for the most part. This and your excellent ability to explain each step while you paint really makes you stand out Coach.
Thanks!
Brilliant guide Coach. Couldn't have asked for better. Thanks for going so in depth with this, Ushoran is such an intimidating model and this really makes me feel more confident to tackle him.
Thanks!
Thankyou for this Coach, I was hoping you'd do an Ushoran tutorial. Your recipies are always straightforward, easy to follow and turn out spot on for me every time (I knocked out a parade ready Lauka Vai in 4 days thanks to you) and are usually my 1st port of call when it comes to finding recipies/tutorials too.
Genuinely appreciate your content and I'll be following your guide as soon as I get my hands on this phenomenal sculpt.
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it!
The painting on the face is a out of this world.
Thanks!
The skin recipe is perfect! Exactly what I was looking for! Amazing paint job, makes me want to buy this miniature. 🤘🏻
Thanks!
Among many kings there is only one true King. Without any doubt, this is an amazing paintjob.
Thanks!
Love the longer format !
Thanks!
I got hooked on @ThePaintingCoach’s longer format videos. All I can suggest is please support him and ask your friends to do so because the YT algorithm can be very unforgiving of longer format if we do not show we are hooked!
Great look. I love his skin!
Thanks!
LOVED this
Thanks!
Stunning work! The break down of the sub assemblies was great and very helpful! Might have to pick this one one as a painting project
Thanks!
Best colors for him. Thanks. 🙏🏻 Awesome job.
This is such good timing. I was hunting for a guide on creating this skin tone for something else. Delighted with this. Good work dude. Thanks for the inspiration
Thanks!
Insane pain job! Thanks for this tutorial! I pre ordered my copy ❤ Will follow your scheme 🫡
Awesome! Glad you liked it!
Fantastic! I would love to see how you put it together after painting.
It's quite well engineered so just clipped into place 👍🏻
Magnificent job, it made me want to start a Flesh eater court army!...If you ever have the time, i would love to see your take on Katakros because I'm currently repainting my Ossiarch Bone Reaper army 🙂
Thanks! No plans to do him at the moment but never say never!
You nailed it buddy, must of been buzzin when you saw it all coming together 🔥
Cheers! Yep I was haha
Great job Lloyd, I think the greatest compliment I can pay you is that although I have no interest in the faction I'm still going to get Ushoran and follow along with this guide ^^
Haha thanks Heather!
I love this. Cant wait for you to do sekhar aswell (if you decide to paint her and her per snake)
I have her but haven't got a slot in the schedule just yet!
That is pure lovely, great job.
Thanks!
Fantastic work! Really great guide to accompany a great model
Thanks!
Looks so good. Really good job!
Thanks!
Excellent!
Pretty nice !! Thanks
Cheers
Thanks for the comprehensive video It was a lot of Fun to watch
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
VERY good. Inspiring!
Thanks!
Great miniature and great painting. I think it is your best work 👌🏻
Thank you!
Looks great! Thanks for the video. Looking forward to getting stuck into painting when I get him.
Cheers Gordon!
This was great! Just subscribed.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Another great tutorial! Your model is AMAZING! I really love how you explained how the glazes work, i'm still struggling a lot doing this technique. By the way, would you mind sharing which brush did you use to paint the face (20:26) ?
Thanks for your content and keep up going !
Thanks! It's a Rosemary and Co Series 33, Size 1
I don't have this model, (although it's one of my favorites,) so I don't need a tutorial. I just came by to say how awesome the paint job you did was! 😊
Thank you very much!
cheers for the painting guide on it. much love
Cheers
Great job man!
Ah thanks mate! 🙏🏻
wow ... looking good .. I go pre order right away
Thanks!
This is amazing and can’t wait for mine to come in the mail! What are you using to prop the pieces?? Looks like a cork and some putty?
Thanks!
Yeah cork and putty!
Professional 👍
Cheers
Might use this flesh recipe on a 40k Daemon Prince.
Sounds good!
Cool
Hello, I love the model but do you have any guides on using, thinning paints and cleaning an airbrush
No airbrush guide yet - hopefully soon
Amazing model, fantastic paint job. Model of the year?
Thanks! Could be - definitely so far 😉
Amazing work! Quick question, when layering the skin, is it glaze like or just fairly thin paint?
Just thin paint - the transition is helped by the mix
That Stegadon Scale Green looks so Blue. You sure that's the colour you used?
Yep!
Thanks for confirming. Not sure why its not called stegadon scale blue instead
@@ThePaintingCoach
There are a couple of paints in the same boat I think!
It's blue...there's no green in that color.
Yoooo, since you are doing AoS can you do some Ossiarch Bonereapers, Stormcast, or Sylvaneth!? I have a Big Ol Itch to create these armies
No plans just yet - will see what the release schedule looks like
So I am planning to paint my whole army using this as a guide. Any recommendations on what I can do to speed up painting 60 ghouls without them looking to different?
You could try dry brushing the same flesh colours and then a thinned contrast like gryph charger grey or space wolves grey to shade - try it on some spares to see what you like
@ThePaintingCoach Thanks mate.
Hii friend i have a question. Can i use instead of sons of horus green, thunderhawk blue?
You can try - it will give you a different finish - more blue than green - test in some spares to check you like it
@@ThePaintingCoach thank you because i saw that its similar but yes better try firts because its a massive miniature 🤣.
Hi there! I love your guides, but I followed this one very closely and my ushoran looks nothing like yours in terms of color. I use Ionrach skin a lot as a flesh eater courts player and I've never seen it look as light and ethereal as yours does. Could you give some advice that maybe isn't obvious from the video? Thanks :)
Thanks - it's difficult without seeing what it looks like - is there any chance you could send me some pocs of your Ushoran via instagram? I use the same handle on there as here 👍🏻
"I'm a pretty looking man"
- ushoran -
*promo sm* 🙂
Great video. I think you went a bit too light on the skin personally. The box art models hands and feet are noticeably lighter than the rest of the skin. But what do i know i don't run a super successful CZcams channel.
