I don't usually care for the Lost Loves segments, but the Rogers family story really got to me. Especially felt so sad for their mother, and it touched me the way they forgave their father at his grave. Things should turn out different for families than that. They just should. What a sad world. :*(

They may be broken, but that's one beautiful family. That's exactly what family should be. Just being there for each other, lifting each other up. They have each other now. Its beautiful.
My family has a lot of issues, and I think there's family out there that we will never know of.
But that being said, I feel very blessed after seeing this. I have a lot of family still, and while there are some issues, there are so many more good things. I'm very lucky, and I take it for granted.. I know it won't last forever. This reminds me to remember and savor this moment right now.

I felt like I was an interviewee on an UM in one of these Lost Love segments and what they talk about, is a real feeling. That feeling of the emptiness in your heart being healed, the fact that you had siblings that lived so close to you and would have passed one of the street and would have never known we were related or the feeling of closure. It's a real experience. My birth father was similar to the Rogers' father as well. I can really relate to this story!

This episode is just freaky weird. I was born in 1959; my born surname was Rogers; William Thomas Rogers was my grandfather. I do not believe I am related to these 6 children who were abused by Tom and watched their mother Edith be severely abused as well. She cannot be blamed for not being able to take care of six young children when they all kept getting beaten. I do love unsolved mysteries and Robert Stack was the best. I am glad these Rogers children got new families and then found each other. These folks could be sixth cousins to me and my siblings. My grandparents lived in Cushing Oklahoma. Grandpa died in 1955, so was gone when these children were born and or very young.

That story of the children who were abused, separated and adopted out to 5 different families was a tear jerker & a half! I can't even imagine what it was like living in that house. I guess it was good that they were all still so young when they were taken away, although the older boys took some bad memories with them. And what a tragedy for their mom. I imagine she was totally exhausted from the depression and sadness of being married to someone like that, and then to lose all of her babies on the same day. That would be too much for most human hearts to endure. But despite all the heartbreak, their story had a beautiful ending and they came together once again. Amazing that the two brothers had met many times without even knowing it! Ultimately, it was a blessing that they were taken away from their parents and I think all the kids know it. I hope they've been able to spend a lot of happy times together over the past 35+ years.

It's these child separation, or; "separated at birth," stories that _really_ get me lol I can watch so-called; "True Crime," shows, (like Forensic Files, or Unsolved Mysteries, or whatever,) all day and not be the least bit emotionally involved, until I see one of these stories about a bunch of kids who were all taken away, hauled off into foster care or something, and never seeing their siblings, (or sometimes even Parents, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, etc., and so forth,) ever again.
