- I play a Magic the Gathering Online Legacy league with Jewel Twiddle Combo, the newest crazy combo innovation from TonyScapone. And with me live on the call is Tony himself! Those who follow my channel know that I was seriously considering Tony's Paradoxical Outcome The One Ring combo deck for Eternal Weekend. That was a serious deck with a lot to like. Tony has continued innovating that shell into something bigger and even more powerful! The One Ring is joined by Coveted Jewel and Transmute Artifact to become a deck that is very likely to win on the spot if its namesake card comes into play. Are we playing Vintage here? Run the jewels! MTG

I was expecting TonyScapone to sound like an old timey mafioso and am very disappointed that he's just a normal guy.
@1:27:07 Not sure even Tony saw the line. That was amazing.
it's plays like that that make this game incredible
1:52:00 "And I don't know about you, but you're taking 22" made me lol hard. Great deck, great guest, great games.
This is the coolest "We have a combo but win fair anyway" deck I've seen in awhile.
Tony’s recent decks are incredible at crushing with Urza’s Saga when opponents lean to hard into Storm hate
High level dedicated combo players really are something to watch. Some of the lines Tony comes up with, I don't think I would see even if you told me how it ends lol.
Also the untap key, double unblockable attack for lethal line was beautiful.
Agreed. That unlockable attack was a gorgeous, heads-up line using what ought to just be flavor text.
This is one of the best legacy videos that I've ever watched
No cards with color besides chain of vapor and our COPIED SOLITUDE! Gg, great game (you played my roommate, I came in to spectate)
Also, when we cast that skyclave, we didn’t realize we could hit the construct either, and were in fact going to hit the lotus petal.
Also sorry about the time, we were holding Kataki when you went off so we were really hoping you would choose a kill that involved passing the turn. We weren’t very familiar with your deck.
“That is a game store in the Midwest” 😂
I mean… Italian living in London. But I felt that
Always love seeing Tony on the channel!
Appreciate you making up the short video yesterday with this 2 hour absolute banger.
Pretty sure against DnT you can chain targeting petal, then send a copy at the spirit/mom, which would have gotten the win (edit: happens at 1:06:00 ). The mana works out if they protect with mom, and I'm pretty sure it does even if they bounce the engine as well. It plays around solitude which you had the late read on, but alas, time pressure is real.
When these decks started popping up, it inspired me to build n EDHdeck based around The Reality Chip, and yeah, artifact storm is a wild archetype to play
I love your random pop culture and meme references. "Wurms MacKenzie" is really sending me rn
Game three of round one reminds me why lodestone golem is restricted in vintage 😂
I can't believe Copy Artifact as additional copies of Metamorph has been sitting there this whole time and I've never seen it before in Jewel decks.
Genuinely enjoy the cooperation videos with deck experts! Keep it up!
Relic of Sauron is something I've seen Justin run in some of his Vintage workshop decks right after LotR came out. It's surprisingly powerful in the workshop decks, so I'm glad to see it make an appearance here.
Love this deck so much, Jewel is my go-to vintage deck when I do play it. New bosh video makes the school week easier.
About the phrexian mana payment on mtgo from Tony at 30:00 - during the payment of a spell with phyrexian mana, the "pay life by clicking portrait" option waits around until you either tap a land for the color of the pyrexian mana or you click the portrait. Since Brian only paid non-blue mana, he could click the portrait whenever.
Aaaayyyyy Tonnnyyy Scaaapoooni
1:59:24 I see you with your lamas with hats reference. lol
I also used to keep up with every card coming out of every set, but honestly now i just look at 1 or 2 sets a year that i'm the most excited for and everything else is to the wayside. It's kind of crazy how many new cards are being put into circulation.
End of round 1, it's so weird seeing depletion lands with 0 counters on them.
I am down with this sickness.
Need a shirt that says "resolves is my favorite word"
Yay! Ive been jamming this deck for a couple weeks now and its super fun!!
Its definitely forcing me to play much better magic. 😅
Rofl Peat bog now in addition to skerry. I went and bought all the desolation lands when i saw Tony pushing them in the challenge last weekend.
I enjoy playing decks that MTGO doesnt have a name for yet in the lists 😂
What is this, a crossover episode?
I just started and I hope dreams grip taps an opponents one ring in their upkeep to force extra damage or swipe their draw
Another great collab! These are the best
Love these colabs!
Amazing!
Always very enjoyable to watch you and Tonny play one of his monstrosities.
in round 2 u could have copied kaldra and trasmuted into coveted jewel, to find an out
Relic of Sauron getting a "more costly Ring" with Transmute Artifact is the best flavor
You know Tony is always out here posing the most important questions... Like, "How many obscure RL cards can I jam into a deck that you will want to play???" Thanks lol.
LODESTONE MENTIONED!!!
So the auto-tapper on mtgo will always float the left most color mana on dual/tri lands, and will always float white on rainbow sources.
bosh pack smoke em if you got em
Caveat, I'm not only not the best player in the world; i had absolutely miserable hands against basically nothing but "pick a color delver" with God hands all morning (think; I basically only drew depletion lands against decks that were, and I'm not even joking, throwing upwards of 3 wastelands and 2-3 daze and force of will packages by turn 4. Not a single one of the 2 dreams grips drawn the whole day) ... so I mostly chalk this up to a bad morning but....
This deck is feels really fragile to the very common delver matches. In 6 matches in today's legacy 32 I had 1 Patchwork Stompy 8 cast and then 5 delver decks. To be fair, even with terrible hands, I fought out some pretty frustratingly close losses - the deck never feels hopeless ... and with so many matches where the opponent just scraped by I'm sure a better pilot may have achieved a positive record in those tiny margins that likely cost me here and there.
BUT, im definitely am not jamming on these desolation lands yet. Idk if it needs those crystal mine lands instead of peat bogs or more dreams grips in place of idk whats but it did feel clunky.
Man did I learn to appreciate Coach Tony's "send the control to the sideboard and board in ALL THE WURMCOILS AND LODESTON GOLEMS" today though. My lodestones and wurms definitely made several of these legacy challenge delver dudes really fight for their wins.
Again, I mostly chalk it up to my lower skill play and just not having a great day with the hands, but the whole 7 desolation lands + 4 urzas (which I absolutely didn't play to their potential because I was too busy making mistakes with lands)....
Idk it just seems like particularly delver is a really rough matchup now which is bad news given how common it is.
Also, i encountered a jeskai delver player packing my new least favorite card of all time Lavinia, Azorius Renegade. (3 grixis, 1 jeskai, and 1 rug)
You do feel so absurdly powerful when the combo does hit. Probably part of what made today frustrating (I don't normally get frustrated at bad hands... its magic) was the nonstop tease of melting my opponents 😅😅😅
Need to rewatch this video and practice more.
I had the same experience initially. The sequencing can be extremely punishing. It has done well vs delver though. Grixis is probably the toughest but scam, death's shadow, and especially BUG has felt very good.
I'm ready
you know its a good BoshNRoll vid when its two hours long!!
27:09 is my favorite part of the video
💙💙💙
I run coveted jewel in orvar in commander and man, jewel is a HOUSE
so tasty to watch you guys brainblast for two hours
You ever just put four Lodestone Golems in play
just put in the extra land in the deck to start ?
1:42:28: you cast ring from hand when you needed a new ring, they countered it. You had 5 mana that turn and could have metamorphed to try and copy ring, and if they counter it, transmute ring into ring ... and then still die :(
Obligatory algorithmic contribution
#amazing
Pre video watch: am i allowed to call this deck mascarpone ?
at 1:25:50 when you cast transmute artifact would saccing a construct have nuked opponent's bridges? The wording on bridge doesn't specify that the opponent's creature has to be nontoken to nuke the bridge and when tokens die they still go to the graveyard before being removed from existence right?
Good question, nice observation
Out of curiosity, why is Metamorph a 4 of but you run 3 Copy Artifact? 2 life and an extra 1 mana seems like a big cost just for the ability to copy an opponent's creature or a Saga token?
At minimum it kills bowmaster.
@@BoshNRoll Good point. That actually seems huge when comboing off
I think the added versatility of copying your opponents creatures can be really good
It's also an artifact, so it's not more expensive under Lodestone Golem. Was relevant in one of the matches.
@Pyrothemaniac12 @loganchristiansen564 yeah, after watching the league, it's clear that this deck pivots to creature beatdowns pretty well. I sorta figured it was all in on comboing but that isn't true, even game 1
Would displacer kitten be at home or is it just another too clunky card?
Step into the spotlight!
at 1:42:36, would playing city and casting metamorph copying Ring have saved you?
He’d already played a city, but imo they should’ve chilled on 2nd construct in order to also be able to do that
Talked a lil bit of shit bout DNT 😂
👉🤛
Fuck the slow mo?
👀
Instructions unclear, just asked Zack Snyder on a coffee date
Edit: win con at 53:15
Guys, some constructive feedback (cause i super do love your videos):
during the deck tech you dont really address the win condition at all. I think you guys kinda got distacted before Tony gets to explaining it, then you guys talk about how the combo engine works but not the actual killshot.
I play and follow this deck. I'll admit I don't use twitch and maybe that's where I miss some discourse.
But I can't be the only person who notices Aetherflux is gone for Emrakul. Are the win cons preboard beat down with Constructs or Emrakul now? Copying her with Metamorph too right? I guess there's not much that can survive a single swing of that.
And I haven't finished all 2 hours of this video but players on mtgo tend to scoop to more well known players the second they start comboing. Which only further makes it somewhat elusive how the kill shot is supposed to actually work out.
Would speculate that emrakul being resilient to removal by shuffling herself back into the library on entering the GY is the main reason because if we are basically looking at her slot as a "I've basically got infinite spells cast this turn and/or infinite mana, what's the kill card?" Slot, she isn't as vulnerable to being removed from zones you interact with like most other things you could pick.
But I regularly am amazed at what I miss so it'd be super cash money to get the 411 on why AETHERFLUX GONE, EMRAKUL NEW BEST FRIEND without hunting around the game tape for someone who doesn't scoop early. 😅
That conversation is had in the video later on.
@BoshNRoll
Indeed you guys do! Found it!
53:15 is where the killshot explanation is. Really excited to try this build out it looks like an improvement
I just realized I still have a prerelease promo foil emarkul I got during the release way back when. I'm gonna finally get to use that thing in paper
This is a good day 😂😂
I needed that info about hold down W 😅😅
Thanks
ChessNight5030 here (I don’t think my YT name is synced to that yet). Haven’t watched the video yet, but excited to see that you’re playing a brew I made. It’s a fun deck especially when you get to combo off. I will look forwards to later today when I will get the chance to watch the video. Hopefully you got the 5-0! I have watched other videos of yours in the past and they’ve all been great. Keep up the great content!
Confused by your claims as creator...Ive been brewing jewel since they unbanned minds desire in beginning of august. You said you play vintage and have "only been playing legacy for 1.5 months". I have YT videos to prove it...what is going on here?
This is Tony's deck, no?
Was confused about this as well, as I've noticed he said this a few times on the discord.
You better not be lying on the internet for clout, Leonard
stop the cap, Lenny.
