Why do they all dig food out with their paws? Mine does that and the other 2 channels I watch with MC their cats do to.
My three rescue Maine coon fur kids are the best companions ever and so grateful for the rescue.
Not are they beautiful, but by looking in their eyes, they are true angels.

My MC is such a chill cat. She's content to ride in the car, go to the vet, and even to Petsmart.
Our Zelda is an angel at the vet, but she HATES traveling. She won't meow in the car, but she'll hyperventilate the whole drive (mostly with a closed mouth, though). However, she does meow when I sing along to the radio in the car. We think she thinks I'm talking to her, since I normally speak to her in a higher pitch... She's a very vocal cat and often responds when we talk to her. She'll also come running whenever my S.O. has a meeting (home office because covid, lol), because who could he possibly be talking to if not her?

Oh I totally loved it. 550 to 6 mins in the hammock play fight, I do remember that and it was hilarious. No joke on the hair being everywhere lol. I go to boil water see a hair floating and have to start all over lol. Thanks guys, have a great week 😻😹💙💜💞🐾

Weegy was close to 4 before full grown. When he stretched out, he took his share of the bed. He was pretty good about keeping clean out of the litter box. He tracked litter though.

Luna and Molly are so cute but albus means business dictating and guarding the tree molly was so cute also when she yawned keep those good vids coming i love molly and luna a lot actually molly reminds me of my uncles Persian tux mix he does everything Molly does like head rubbing and most things she does and luna reminded me of my aunt's cat she would just meow and lounge around all day
My two maine coons are great travelers as well. Moira chilled in the car while her brother Bran was at the vets for his snip snips.

I love this! Our Maine Coon recently passed away and he was the best cat ever. I miss him so much ❤️. Whenever we are ready we will definitely get another Maine Coon.

Cute little furbabies
Your brood makes me wish we had 4 instead of 2! They are a grooming handful and you're right: kittens have more knots (pits, neck and lower back here) than adults. As long as I brush 8 year old Max, just about every day, he will stay knot free. Not so with Milo. He's still got fluffy kitten fur, at 8 months, that seems to mat more.

My Maine Coons Leo and Romeo also cross their front legs, I find it so funny. Everything you said applies to a T to my cats.
I've got two - one of them is called Hagrid! So beautiful! Hair stuck to eyelashes on a constant basis.... Love them!

Thanks for these videos, it helps to know more this breed. I’m going to adopt a Maine Coon normally and to see these three videos is very helpful to realize how the Maine Coon cats are/can be, and also it helps to know if adopting a Maine Coon cat can be a good idea for you or not.

I used to take my youngest MC to the groomers. He did well until he became old, so then it was just the usual brushing at home. I had combs stashed all over the house so I could brush them wherever we were.

I live with a grumpy old man in a young cat's body named Loki. He sometimes teleports from room to room. His hobbies are eating his wet and dry food with his right paw and keeping an eye on the neighborhood. He squeaks, squeals, chirps, and eows and in all the time I've known him he's only meowed once. He plays hard and he hates being picked up. I liberated him from a no-kill shelter.
I like your honesty about how difficult it really is to keep Maine Coons. It's refreshing to hear someone not spare the uncomfortable little details about the poor hygiene habits of most Maine Coons. They're adorable cats - probably the most beautiful of all breeds, but, unlike other cats, they're sometimes just too much work and definitely not for everybody.

Like you said every cat is different. I don't know if it was because it was my kittens first time travelling alone, but he really did not like travelling. We only went 50 minutes, dreading the drive back to my mums which is 2 hours this Christmas.

I still have plans for getting my next Maine Coon cat, as I truly miss Hey. Hey used to have some knots in his fur, and my younger sister Rachel used to sometimes call him "Clumpy" because of the clumps that resulted from the knots in his fur, lol. Funnily enough, Hey had often came walking into the bathroom when someone was showering. Because of the door latch not working properly, Hey could just push the bathroom door open and walk right in, destroying privacy in the process. It was common for me to be on the receiving end of this form of privacy destruction, usually when I was in the shower. I often tried placing my shoes at the door to try to stop Hey, but he was a really strong cat. I later used something heavier than my shoes, a paint can for example. When it came to eating, Hey sometimes tossed dry food aside. I just can't get enough of how cute your cats are. Anyways, living with Maine Coons seems to be a luxury for you, as it certainly was a luxury for me and my family to own a Maine Coon cat.
I had a roommate with a Maine mix and he was like that, except if he got in, he'd be in the shower with you. Nothing seemed to deter him from playing in water

They really do that. About the first 18 months they grow from kitten to about half the size again of a regular moggy. And then they spend the next 2-3 years bulking out, building up muscle and a fat layer. You end up with a cat that looks *really* ferocious, especially if they have a nice ruff on their chest, almost lion-like.
And the fun bit is, as ferocious as they look, and even taking into account individual differences, they remain affectionate goofballs.
The following-around is a thing; good breeders who keep an eye on character as well as appearance know to keep their original farm cat instincts intact, and the Coon is descended from yard cats, who are supposed to follow the farmer around and pounce on any vermin that gets disturbed during the daily work; the affection is an effect of that, as that is the best way to have a cat that keeps close, one that is affectionate and curious and interested in what you're doing (my grandpa's semi-ferals, not Coons, but regular moggies, were like that: even semi-feral, they hung around him whenever he was puttering around in the barn)

My boy Mickey loved to cross his forelegs. He was a domestic short hair tabby and white, no MC at all. So not only MCs do that.
I know what it's like to get hair knots, mine is long so can understand what a struggle it can be to untangle, I feel sorry for cats having to get brushed, can you imagine what it would be like if they had to de-tangle their fluff themselves?

I had a persian cat for 16 years, who, even being short legged, used to cross his paws when lying, exactly as yours. Perhaps it depends on the cat´s personality: mine was gentle and curious for people and other animals.

Thank you so much for these very informational and simply presented videos! We have a 1 y.o. Maine Coon mix (that's what we were told by the person we got him from) but we were wondering if his behavior and growth rate is typical for a Maine Coon. Seeing your pure bred Maine Coons gives me a lot of relief and reassurance, as I'm observing a lot of similarities between them and our Jasper. Did you keep track of their weight as they were growing? Our kitty is about 14 months old and he weighs just a little under 10 lbs. I'm wondering if Maine Coons are bigger than this by the time they get to this age or if this is normal weight for them at 1 year old. We just really hope he will get bigger than this and gains more weight.

The mess after using the litter box was a problem for my maine coon aswell until i changed the litter to bigger „corns“ and it never happened again. Maybe it will work for you aswell

I agree on the messy pooper thingy lol my baby Yuri would step on the poop all the time. I have to watch her poop just to make sure. I had a different cat before and never encounter this issue. But I guess I'm not the only one. Everything for my baby Yuri. Love your cats btw. They are so majestic 💕

Hello beautiful kitties. I don't know if you have heard of a little girl named Iris. If you don't, Iris is a beautiful little girl who lives in England. Sadly Iris has autism. You can imagine what her mother goes through with little Iris. It was suggested to her mum to try animal therapy. We all know how horses and dolphins and many other of our furry friends have helped minds that are broken. Enter a Maine Coon kittie named Thula. Iris and Thula bonded immediately. If you do watch the vid on CZcams, it comes with a warning, have plenty of tissues ready as you will shed a tears of joy.

There is cat hair in places that cats have never been!
My cats that I had some of them didn't watch were they step in there poo too I still had to wash there paws too I had 1 Persian cat that her hair got knots in her fur and she had curly hair on her belly too! Some of my male cats that I had were messy eaters too when it came too the dry and wet cat food too I got used to it over the years toe these main coon cats aren't no different when it comes to a regular cat
My mainecoon almost never cuddles me. She will follow me to every room in the house, she likes to be near but not cuddle. Hoping she will warm up I have only had her for 4 months
They change so much as they get older so I bet yours will eventually cuddle with you! All cats are different but Molly didn’t start cuddling with us until we had her for several months. She’s loves cuddling now!
Hello, I am planning to own one Maine coon and I would like to ask:
Can I get my cat a haircut? Albus is the king here in @5:32 and he looks less hairy, its more appealing to me to see less hairy version of these magestic creatures, thats what I feel about them.
Also one more thing, can you know how a cat would look like by look at it's kitten age? More specifically: look at Albus' eyes and how much of them appear to us, was he like this during kittenhood?

Thanks, I will try to adjust her to the sound. If they like when blow dry their hair; then they should be ok. I have also a robot who can be turn on almost everyday. It is not loud at all :)

My maine coon is wild at night.i cant sleep more than like 4 hours..What to do to mske it a bit easier..I work in nursery home ( very stressful job) and when i get home he wakes me half the night :(
Maybe try closing your bedroom door at night or getting him a buddy. Although our Maine Coons still wake us at night so that might not work.

Do lots of research and have lots of patience! Good things take time! In the meantime you can start preparing your house.
