Personal opinion (not sure how others feel), but I'm not a fan of the sneak peak intros. I feel like I have to close my eyes and ears for those 5 seconds or so to avoid spoilers about which color has which continents, major moments, etc.

Really appreciate your message at 34:30, because after all that's the reality of most of these "all for me, nothing for you" types of players. They are not familiar with the good neighbour strategy and play to win by brute force; be stronger in troop numbers than anyone else. And almost everyone new to Risk think that is the best way to play, I did too. These players aren't trying to ruin anyone's game on purpose, or do anything malicious. They really are just trying their best as a new player, and that's respectable.
Yeh I still remember my first game, I saw someone gain the SA bonus early and instantly thought I had to break them otherwise lose the game lol
@@rickchros1919 yeah hahah when someone would take Europe or North America before ~turn 6/7 (so without 3 very strong borders) I would think to myself "of the audacity on this man to defend one of his borders of this huge bonus with only a measly 5 stack! Now I'll show him!" Turns out I missed the 30 guard troops interior and would lose instantly

Around 21:40 when yellow stupidly let you hold 3. Just think...if this was reversed, many people would think orange and yellow are colluding. Obviously this isn't the case...but its nice to point out what red may think. Sometimes maybe its not collusion...its just n00bness ^_^

I'm not sure I like the editing on this video. There were a couple of points where the video fast-forwards through part of Pete's turn, including major offensives. Other than that though, it was much fun to watch!
Great game, personally have loved the new editing style, although I do like the regular speed of the Grandmaster taking territories at a rapid pace (no need to speed up too much in my opinion). I find it very satisfying watching the fast takes. Then again this is not my full-time job so I imagine there's some data behind the scenes that shows people fast forwarding through these sections maybe. One weird thing though, what's up with the intro clip? The taking and killing of yellow in Europe was not from the same game but the audio was, but from a different scenario (when Pete had NA, SA, Africa)?

it's funny you say 'this is how a child plays around 29:30. I was teaching my 7 year old to play on the app and it's exactly what he did, he ended up kicking my butt because he just attacked everything he could haha.

Dude, I'm not even playing Risk currently, let alone trying to get better at it, but I've been compulsively watching your videos the last couple weeks. I played as a kid, but always against complete noobs. It's fun to see how much psychology comes into play when at least a couple of your opponents have some experience.
We'll watch out. You may just get better accidentally if you watch too much.

100% agree on giving the 'gg' to ANY opponent, no matter how I feel they may have played. Just because you messed up my game, as you say they probably played as best as they knew how.

You've shed light on the banana-gate type conversations I've had. It was a fungus. I happen to love both flavoring, and current iteration. The way I learned it was the flavoring was the og nanner. Isolated now to small island nations.
And that fungus is back and adapted to kill Cavendish bananas now. It was contained to Asia for a decade or 2 and now has spread. From what I read a while ago, bananas are in serious trouble of becoming a very niche fruit.

I like the subititles for emphasis! One constructive crit: sometimes they are slightly off centre and there are a couple recurring typos e.g. "to" and "too". Otherwise love it.

I am watching you for some time and could say you introduced me into this game, which resulted into some kind of healthy addiction ( apart from my usual work ) hh , so thanks for that :) , I was just curious If I could join the tournaments or people just must be marked as GM .... I reaches several times the master level playing just occasionally after the work.

There is only one tournament that requires to be a GM, all others are open for anyone to join! I'd start with the regular Risk discord, Pete's server and the one starting soon is on Spud's server.

I notice at a certain point it pays to be aggresive and get the kills. It seems like a lot pf players tend to wait til they are insanely over powered instead of being aggresive.
