How to Painlessly Trim a Chickens Flight Feathers

Many new chicken owners have concerns about trimming or cutting their chickens wings. This process is easier if carried out by two people, one to hold the bird while the other does the trimming.
Some prefer to do this at night when the chickens are roosting, they are much easier to catch and give less of a fuss.
So long as you only cut flight feathers you will not hurt the chicken.
Most people only cut one wing, which inhibits flight but still allows them to escape predators, although some people do trim both wings.
