I've said it before and I'll say it again! I LOVE these bouquet building videos/tutorials! They are so helpful as it's what I struggle with the most. I try and they just end up squished together but with you x method it's a little less squished. I'll keep practicing 😊

I've been pulling petals off echinacea and just using the center and absolutely love the look of it in arrangements. It lasts so long in the vase, too!

Same with Sunflowers: pulled off all the apricot petals, put it in the vase. It just had a different impact. The sunflower looks like the “anchor” plant in that bouquet.

This was a lovely and heartening video for everyone out there struggling with imperfect flowers (including myself). Would love to get your thoughts on the dreaded thrips, they've invaded my cosmos and likely to get into everything else shortly. Much like you suggested with the roses, I'm just trying to bring them in early before the thrips all get inside. Not really an options so much with snaps. I lost my snap harvest to thrips and stink bugs :( I hope to keep striving for regeneration and balance in the garden in the hopes of easing these things.

That is a really lovely bouquet. Very helpful tutorial on making a bouquet for a low vase. Also like your point of not feeling upset over the odd hole or brown spot. My garden is producing quite a few flowers now and it will be fun to practice your techniques.

First year growing the Madame Butterfly Cherry Bronze and I love the unusual color! I usually grab a couple blooms from the garden as it is getting dark to enjoy inside. These bring me joy. Thanks for your educational videos!

ALL my flowers are imperfect with this ongoing triple digit heat right now. I’m counting my blessings for having them at all and making sure there’s still plenty for my precious little pollinators. (My garden is not huge so I’m shy with the shears.)

Thank you for your bouquet tips! I was able to try your X shape tips and rubberbands for my sunflowers, ageratum, zinnias and snapdragons and it looks freaking awesome! 😍 I used to put things in the vase and they never sat right or leaned over and looked sad. I'm never doing that again and im sharing your info with my mom who has the same issue with her bouquets 💐

I love that you encourage this! As just a home gardener, my flowers are never perfect. Quick question, do you do anything to ensure you don't bring any pests inside? I also have houseplants so I don't want any of the garden pests to take up residence on my indoor plants either.

I've just ordered all my seeds for this summer (I'm in NZ so winter right now for us). Super excited about a couple of cut flower garden beds I'm planning. I got these 4 pocket non-woven felt planters and am doing a different colour palette for each. One yellow (wife's favourite colour) and one pink (son's favourite colour). Been enjoying all the cut flower videos lately in anticipation!

@@Theskybluerose That's where I order from too! I think my favourites for flowers are Rudbeckia Rustic Dwarf, Linaria Licilia Peach, Dianthus (I get a couple types), Echinacea Green Twister, and then in the free selection I picked Nigella Love in a Mist which looks quite nice but I haven't tried that one before
