Kettleness Tunnel: The Old Loftus to Whitby Railway

I take a walk along the old Loftus to Whitby Railway line which closed in 1958. My main priority was to explore Kettleness Tunnel, and to show what was once a beautiful coastal railway line. #railwaytunnel #northeasternrailway #railwayhistory

30 yrs ish ago I went camping for a week in Whitby with the boys brigade from Derby. A few of us snuck out our tents at night and went for a wander and we came across the entrance to this tunnel. I remember it well. Never thought about searching for a video until now. Glad I did, thanks for the memory 👍

Yeah big torch next time, maybe get that sandsend tunnel done at same time, just watched a video on it by @ALW exploration , scary but looks mega
